So I thought of doing a topic of Dreamwork's newest movie Captain Underpants after seeing it. If any of you got a chance to see the movie or are just curious about the movie, feel free to talk about it here.

I remember reading the books when they came out in the 90s.

Yep, now it's a movie. Also after seeing it I really loved this movie. It was funny and came up with some great ideas. Also I think this movie might be doing better than The Boss Baby as Dreamworks' real big hit for 2017 like how Inside Out was Pixar's real big hit for 2015 over The Good Dinosaur.

Boss Baby was a failure of a film for them.  I do like the animation style, and I think they somehow made it suited and reminiscent of the cartoon books, at least the best they could with CGI animation.

This movie my gross less, but it will ultimately be a success because it cost them so little to make.  Not even $40 million compared to the near $130 million to make Boss Baby.

I saw Wonder Woman instead of this movie, but I heard this movie was not bad at all. It surprised some people. The book series honestly really, really irritated me as a kid but I can't remember why XD I probably won't see this movie but I'm glad it is better than expected by a lot of people =)

Oh and there were not any sneezes in the movie, but the villain of the movie did mention the word sneeze when he was talking to some girls at the school that were looking at his name and laughing at it.

Thanks for the mention =) Sneezes in new movies do not happen often.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy what you do in the summer Dee =)

Boss Baby just saying, was a cute movie.

Captain Underpants, my sisters went to go see it and my sister described it as very (X15) funny. And she hasn't ever described a movie like that. And she's got standards to, she wasn't a big fan of Trolls.

One thing I always have admired about Dreamworks is being different. They aren't afraid to try new styles, new techniques. Sure it bites them in the ass sometimes, but when they succeed they create clever movies that just feel different. Even if just simply playing with an idea. They've had some duds definitely, but I still admire their ability to be different.

I can't say so much for Disney, what with like 3 movies in a row with basically the same exact style.

If you want a happy movie, this looks like a happy movie.  A mindless slog of fun and stupidity. :)

This film's animation has reminded me so much more of 2D hand drawn work then any other 3D CGI film.  It is simplistic, creative, and fun.  They are able to bend and morph more so then most 3D rigging!  I really enjoy the animation.

I'm surprised to be saying this.

My familiarity with Captain Underpants is more or less this quip from Brad Jones and Brian's Midnight Screening review here.

My school library had all the books, but I remember the librarian said it wasn't something we should read.  lol! She wanted us to read "REAL" books, not comic books.

Mindless slog sounds a bit mean.

Like I haven't watched it. But I know Captain Underpants the books had some... Oddly introspective moments on society at times. So, to call it mindless without having even seen it seems rather unfair.
