Use some of the money you earn to buy little trinkets for inside your truck or maybe state specific things to put in your truck.  Bedding, blankets, pillows, fishing poles, mugs, whatever else a trucker wants.
You mean, just add some new state-specific content to the existing Cabin Accessories DLC?

Sure!  It's kind of pointless I know, but if they did want to make truck stops and gas stations more interactive, they could try that.

After Ford models announcement in July, today we have some screenshots of Dodge.
And a classic joke in the comment.

Oh my gosh, look at those beautiful Dodge's!  I love it!! It is so weird seeing these cars in my truck sim game.

I wonder if they are also adding more side roads that will possibly be made and labeled on the "Road Trip" module of the game?  Roads maybe not open to the trucks.

The Dodge Viper to this day remains my favorite car in terms of how it's designed. It's beautiful.

That's a good question.

Mopar or no car! That classic Charger is awesome. They all are, but I love that classic.  They didn't;t overly adorn it with things and left it original. I love that.

Now I want to drive a Citreon 2CV across France, lol!  Or a Robin in the UK with Mr. Bean music.

Well, we already have Ford Mustang coming and freshly rebuilt Los Angeles... for the iconic scene from Mr. Bean movie ;D. Also... in addition to Citroën 2CV, how about another French car owned by a guy from LA?
UPD:
I wonder, will the beta-tests last longer if the same game version is made for different devices? Or... will they just hire more testers?

This is what I was awaiting, a new SCS blog post.  But I was not expecting it to be about console.  Playstation and Xbox!

I am not a console player myself and I can't imagine there will be that many console players of a simulation game.  They seem to be more fast paced players.

It would be funny to play ETS using Wii controllers.

ROAD KINGS ANNOUCNEMENT TRAILER

In Truck Gaming news... Saber Interactive is aiming at truck sims around the world with their new "ROAD KINGS" game.

Synopsis: Road Kings, an upcoming next-generation truck driving simulation game developed by Saber Interactive. Players will begin from humble beginnings as a rookie truck driver to get behind the wheel of 40-ton semis, hauling cargo across the coastal plains of the American South. Manage multiple jobs, trailers, and routes, from busy Jacksonville to the shady streets of historic Savannah. Plan a route to satisfy all clients and take precautions against road hazards, weather, and more. Road Kings is launching in 2026 for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).

I wanted to share this as well.  I forgot to post it awhile ago.  A small local tv news station got very excited to see their own Davenport, Iowa represented in the game!  Check out this segment about the game, they even interview Daniel Nemec of SCS Software!

^And this is how we have found out Nemiro’s real name ;D.
Pretty small tuning pack, but I see the matte paint option as some interesting stuff — what if the trucks themselves will also have the matte paintjobs in 1.56? (for now, only Mack Pinnacle has it). Also, the existing auxillary lights will be updated as well — I use these devices on all my European trucks ;D.
So, when do you expect to see the 1.56 update? My vote is for the late September as the beta test beginning, maybe even with some news about Benelux rework (announced exactly six months ago).

Until they show gameplay, that is all just smoke and mirror.

Totally.  It's interesting they chose the southeast to be their travel location. I am certain it won't be as realistic as ATS and will probably have many more arcade elements.  Right now it looks like your typical Playway style release with lots of assets being bought and used.

Who would have thought it would be revealed in a small local news report? Lol!

This will be on a modern engine from a fairly decent sized mid-tier team.  They are the makers of Mud-Runner, Snow-Runner, and others. They have a fantastic driving dynamics system.  In their trailer we did see International and a Mack truck for sure.  My guess is it will be more story driven with hurricanes and strong storms being a unique system for the game.

It is the first real competition against a larger company that SCS has ever had.

There is also Truck World Australia coming in 2026 too.  Two different versions of trucking game to take on ATS and ETS2. While SCS has done a lot to improve their engine, these two new games have modern hardware under the hood. Eventually SCS will have to do more than lipstick.
