I'm sorry if this is rude to ask.... but I don't know you like everyone else seems too.

Do you want to drive to make it easier or do you just not have the means too... or money... or something.... sorry, I am not trying to be nosey or rude.  Please don't take it that way.

Nervous much? ;D

You're not being rude. I'm an open book anyways, I usually just say things unless it's too personal, so, you're fine there.

I just haven't gotten around to actually taking the drivers test, and I honestly think I'd fail it. I usually practice with my mom, but it's kinda hard to do considering her work and my school work.
And even if I had my licence, I wouldn't have a car.

Dude, I truly mean this.  And I don't want this to sound weird, but if I lived closer I would totally teach you to drive.  I have taught at least eight family/friends because their parents or they had limited hours to teach.

That's very sweet knowing that. Thanks, Darrin. That made me happy.

Thanks for answering.

It really isn't too hard, you just naturally start to learn everything, Luv.  Stick shifts are a bit harder, but most people don't have manual transmissions anymore anyways.

It's a hard thing to drive cars. I've taught so many different people to drive, stick, auto, motorcycles, etc... all it takes is some time behind the wheels man.

;D  *Thumbs up*

I love driving.  I think it has to do with me liking cars at a young age and wanting to drive as soon as I could.  As soon as I hit the age, I did drivers ed, and my Mom taught me.  She let me drive to school everyday.  It was good because then she could still teach me and then do her thing.

I'd see if you can let your Mom let you drive to and from school sometimes. That way she doesn't have to take time out of her schedule.  Just leave maybe ten minutes earlier.

The best way I'd suggest learning is to just get behind the wheel. Go out and drive around a parking lot, or a lonely street. I personally learned from riding motorcycles, it works relatively the same way.

I can't drive without a person in the car.

Oh wait, nvm.

The hardest thing for me was actually taking the written test.  By the time I did the driving portion, I had everything known.  Basic turn right, turn left, use your blinkers.  Lights at night or dusk and dawn.  Don't follow to close to the car in front of you, pull to the right for sirens.  Stop at a train crossing unless otherwise posted.  Follow the speed limit, stay in the left lane and only use the right for passing.

That is pretty much everything right there.

The next step is just knowing your car you are going to drive.  Every car is a bit different to do the same things.

On the way to school with your Mom... oh you figured it out, yeah. ;D

Even like if she goes to the store, offer to drive.  It's pretty easy to get the hours you need for driving if you do little stuff like that.

Yeah, Darrin's got it.

Also if you have time, empty parking lots of roads on a quiet Sunday are good.  I spent a lot of time in a parking lot.

Just get your mom to go with you. That's the best way to learn, have someone who is a little experienced to get in the car and really teach you. Get a car that's comfortable to you, the car I drive isn't a nice first car. It's too wide, the clutch is like a ton of bricks, it's way to powerful. Just get with someone you're comfortable being around, in a car you're comfortable with, and drive for a bit.
