So yeah, it was a decent episode.  Nothing spectacular to be honest.  It was, a little better than average.  I don't have a personal connection with Smolder's brother Gargle or whatever his name is, nor do I like most of the dragon designs.

It was just a HALF BAKED episode.

6/10.

At least we got a sneeze.  It seems like whenever the Dragonlands or a dragon is involved, we get a sneeze in this show.  Smolder sneezes due to dragon sneeze flowers, Spike sneezes due to lava, or Ember sneezing when she came to Equestria due to flowers.  Dragons sneeze a lot.  We even had Rarity sneeze in the Dragonlands.

So I know we got a sneeze in this episode.  That's about all I know.  Hope it's a female character.

Oh boy.... we got a stinker of an episode, and it isn't the sulfur smell of the dragon lands I am talking about.
Spoiler (hover to show)
First of all, this episode's writer went out of their way to make Spike ultra-sensitive.  He never stood up for himself and was a complete push-over.  The bully guy NEVER got in trouble for any of their actions and Spike never got an apology or did absolutely anything for himself.  Fluttershy had to stand up for him and even with that, nothing really happened because of it.  It was all pure happenstance that what happened worked.  Even more purplexing is when Garble finally revealed his secret to everyone, his worst fear came true, everyone made fun of him and laughed at him... yet for some reason it became okay just to end a story in time?  No.  Lazy.

This episode was poorly written and it shows this is probably a new writer for the show with little experience and no experience with who the characters actually are.

So Spike is weak and spineless in this episode and even though everyone defends him, he never stands up or shows why he is strong.  I think the writer tried to show that strength isn't just physical power, but also mentally... thought they failed.  It wasn't apparent and all the characters were pretty lame. Smolder and Ember were nothing more than plot devices to keep things going.

The joke about Garble being a poet wasn't even a joke.  It was lazy, overly cliche, and done way too many times.

It was a pretty useless episode.   I wouldn't even call it entertaining. 2/10.

It wasn't that great of an episode.  I didn't even really enjoy it that much as I found the dragon goons to be obnoxious and their designs ugly.  I've never liked Garble and still don't.

I kinda saw that he was going to be the bro to Smolder coming from a mile away too
.  It wasn't that good overall.  The ending was just stupid.

4/10.
