I guess this is political too.  US Navy to name a ship after San Franciscan gay rights icon, Harvey Milk. Source

The reason this becomes political is because of this; does the navy really need to name non military/government people on their ships, or is this more of a political move on their part?  Let it be known, the navy has named ships after a women's rights activist before too.

So maybe this is a good thing for recognition.  Note, none of these ships are active warships.  This new ship will be military sealift command fleet oiler.

This only made news because of recent events.  Small town in Mississippi adds, "All Lives Matter" on their police cars.

Leave it to the media to try and report this to simply stir controversy.

Do not all lives matter?  Why do we just single out a certain group?  I thought singling groups out was not proper and racist?  So why can't we say all lives matter?

The way my friend counter rebuttes the "all lives matter" argument is this:

"Imagine four people are at a restaurant. Everyone but Tom gets his food, and he says "Tom deserves food". And then everyone else says "we all deserve food". Well yeah, that may be true but that doesn't change the fact that Tom doesn't have any f*cking food."

I told him that was a stupid analogy because it implies African Americans don't have the same rights we do or something like that.

Well, you could take it to silly extremes.  Like, because all lives matter, you shouldn't take antibiotics and murder all those poor innocent germs.  Yeah, nah.  "All Lives Matter" is still a fairly decent rebuttal, or at least no worse than what it rebuts.  The problem with #BLM is the implied exclusion, which enough of their members seem to have taken to heart; see the university library invasion for example.  "Black Lives Matter Too" would've gone a fair ways to prevent this sort of friction.  Might sound semantic, but words do have power.

A lot are calling it weakness on Trump's part, and that the politics are beginning.  This week has been historically bad for Trump going after his own party, a deceased marine's family, and other bad things he's said on stage or Twitter.  Tonight Trump endorsed Paul Ryan (speaker of the house) and John McCain.  Two people who don't or didn't endorse him.  Is he doing this to make them endorse him?

Trump is now behind Hillary in most polls by double digits.

Trump is screwing up pretty royally.  He is acting immature and un-presidential.  When it comes time to vote, are people going to vote for an unknown who seems to change on a whim, or vote for "more of the same" in Hillary.  Even though "more of the same" might bring this country down even further, it might be seen as the safe bet compared to an orange many who's temperament changes every other day.  Still, a large portion of the country wants to give him a chance.  HE better prove he is worth giving a chance, and get on topic, stay focused, and start acting mature.

When it comes to debates, thought Hillary may be untruthful, she can spin stuff so well, and people will believe it.  She will do great in the debates.

I shouldn't be posting possible conspiracy stuff like this... but recently, 3 DNC staff members have been killed.  This website is promoting the fact that WikiLeaks head, is hinting that these people killed were the DNC members that gave the info to WikiLeaks and maybe were part of the hackers that got all the stuff.

I hadn't heard about this.  This is weird.  Are the Clinton's having people removed again?  Is the Democratic party doing this?  The government?  Silencing people.
