It is "hand drawn" and imported to Toon Boom.
that doesn't mean it's animated hand drawn. I mean, they could've drawn the sprites and stuff by hand. But I highly doubt the thing is hand drawn animation.

I'm hoping it is just the goofy shading too.  But overall, I am very excited!

In the animation industry, for the modern era, this is a hand drawn cartoon.

It is either hand drawn or CGI now days.

The shading makes these things look so off. ;D

I think they're doing the cheeks thing artists like ATaF do. Where the snouts in the center of the face and cheek can be seen behind it. It helps the face not look so flat. And again, the demolished shading makes things look worse.

The cheek thing. :D  It might help them make faces more expressive too.

And soon you will have a fandom split between drawing "Show" style or "movie" style. ;)

I honestly think no one will care APD >_>
People who are fans of the show acknowledge its heavily restricted by only using Flash.
I imagine complaints now because it looks wonky. I'm sure once a big trailer comes out people will say the squishy cheeks look cute. You'll prob get a troll or two here saying "not show style flash, bad!" And people taking them seriously, but honestly? This is a huge step up.

There will be wars about it.  Believe me.  It also gives credence to artists who have done the cheek thing all along. ;D

It is a huge step!  It will be interesting as to how the fandom will take it.  But I am sure it will be great.

It will certainly take some getting used to this new style.  We will probably be spoiled after seeing the great animation in the movie, then seeing the FLASH Cartoon which will look different.

I think you're over exaggerating. I mean, te designs for the movie have been released a while back and no one said nay.

We'll just have to accept the show has its limits but they do try to push it to the max with flash. But it's a simple show with simple animation.

No they haven't.  We first saw them 3 days ago.

I mean granted... we've sorta seen them since 2012. ;)  But they are slightly different and more animatic now. :)

And they've done some great work with Flash.  It is really good FLASH work they've done.
