I mean I like realistic racers, but the current era is missing great and fun arcade racing games.  Everything is trying to be too realistic.  Whatever happened to senseless, random, car racing fun?

In typical EA fashion.... EA buys Slightly Mad Studios known for their Project Cars games.  Well, EA has broken the team apart and removed Project Cars and Project Cars 2 from Steam.  >:(  Why not just keep the games there?  They were really good and now a talented team is all over EA's various studios.

Article

"EA has quietly retired Project CARS, the racing game series that was developed by Slightly Mad Studios. After internally announcing that it had made the decision to "stop further development and investment" in the franchise, EA also confirmed that affected staff will be moved into "suitable" roles at the company where possible.  All three games had previously been published by Bandai Namco prior to the studio being acquired by Codemasters in 2019, and eventually by EA in 2021 as part of its deal to purchase Codemasters."

I didn't hear about that.  I own both but have only played the first one and I have a lot of time into it.  I really enjoy it and probably should try out the second game.  I just need to download it.   It's unfortunate companies pull their games.

Thanks EA.  You continue to make the world a worse place for racing fans.

Sad.  Project Cars 3 will disappear in a few years to then.  Better get it if you want it.

That series had a lot of potential with the first two games.  It's a shame it's over.  And of course EA removes the two best versions of the game.

I may have just made a dumb purchase.... maybe two.

One of the worst rated major racing games NASCAR Ignition 21 is now in my Steam inventory being downloaded.  lol.  I want to see if it's as bad as everyone says.  People say it's good racing and graphics, but the game is so broken and it crashes.

I also have heard about this long forgotten game called, Crash Time... and it's a whole series.  I bought Crash Time III for $1 USD on Steam, lol! Hope it's fun!

It was an underrated game that mostly sold decently in Europe but not the US.  It has some pretty good crash physics for the time especially.  Just arcade fun.

So the big title for this year is Forza Motorsport.  I forgot what number we're at.
