I am fascinated with different kinds of levels. There are strange curveballs that video games have. Sometimes it is a good kind of bizarre, a nice change of pace from the normal gameplay.

Other times..............levels make no sense at all XD

Someone on youtube named whoisthisgit made a video about levels and games that hurt the senses, like hearing and sight. One of the levels he showed was this one. He is very accurate.

This level is from an old game hardly anyone played, with a game system that didn't really sell well at all.

The level is simple. Move quickly so the falling stuff doesn't catch up with you. If even one thing hits the player, the character dies and the level starts over again. Basically, everything could kill you XD

Fair warning. This level has REALLY odd stuff in it. If you are sensitive to lights, don't watch the video at normal speed. Slow it down.

I guess Super Sonic final bosses from the Sonic series are usually "unique levels".
This is both amazing and weird at the same time.
The best moment in the series are usually the final bosses with Super Sonic but at the same time... It's not a really good final boss fight if it introduces a new style of gameplay just at the end instead of testing the player's skills with the mechanics of the main game now, right?

Another amazing change of phase comes with the first part of the final mission in Metal Slug 3 where you fight inside a spaceship with a gameplay style similar to Space Invaders.
It's also one of the few times in the series where you actually ally with Morden's rebels, which are usually the main enemies of the series.
For the entire final mission you're going to fight along side rebel units and it's really cool!

There is also THAT moment from Pirate's Curse where you have to save Rottytops...
I'm not going to say more because... Goodness, that part was so hard...
The best part comes at the end where you learn that she actually didn't need help. Rottytops was just trolling Shantae all the time...

Another really good moment comes in one of the DLCs in the first Valkyria Chronicles where you see the view point of the empire, the main enemies of the series.
While gameplay-wise is similar to the main game, seeing the perspective of the empire was really cool!
It was already heavly hinted in the main game, but here it truly shows that there are no true bad guys in a war. Everyone is fighting for what they think is right, everyone has a family despite their nationality and they all wish for the war to stop as soon as possible.
It also turned Selvaria from being a kinda generic boss enemy thingy to an actually interesting and charming character.
I might going to draw something about her in the future! >:3
