My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - "Common Ground."
"Common Ground" will release on May 4, 2019. It is written by Josh Haber and is the 6th episode of season 9. It is 202nd episode overall.
SYNOSPIS: Quibble Pants seeks Rainbow Dash's help to bond with his special pony's daughter.
-
Based off the synopsis, this seems like a slightly more mature topic? "Special some pony" doesn't mean he is married yet... right? It also of course SQUASHES all attempts of Quibble and Dash being a couple. I think they did that on purpose. The Mane 6 never get romanced. :(
-
Hoping it's a good episode. Sometimes Dash episodes can be kinda... poor. Fingers crossed. :D
-
Time for some pony live watching!
-
Based on the synopsis, this ep has everyone's fav big-butted stallion, Quibble Pants.
-
Lets begin!!
-
Weird start!
-
Buckball! :D Lol
-
It's like football, but with bucking.
-
I liked the 30s newsman voice.
-
Pinkie Pie has fans?
-
Snips has a brain to make money?
-
That team looks pretty good at doing whatever they do.
-
I was wondering why Rainbow Dash was there.
-
THERE'S HIS BUTT! Quibble Pants!
-
He seems so smug, lol.
-
Lol! Only a real fan, he seems so unsure.
-
WOW, he has a fiance?
That was a very rude thing to say, Dash.
-
Daughter seems unhappy.
-
Daughter seems unhappy about him, he's trying to be a good dad dude.
-
Show respect you little twat!
-
Quibble, love!!
-
It's a ball dude. A basket.
-
Quibble you aren't that sporty, lol.
It's cute he wants to try to and do well for his love.
-
awww, he's nice.
-
Wow dude, you're bad at this.
-
Rainbow Dash is one of the best kid, better listen.
-
LOL! Bad timing to say he is sporty.
-
Surprise!! A book!!! :D
-
That seems like an interesting book actually. Not going to lie.
-
Awww, she calls him Que.
-
But she loves him for who he is.
-
Dash, I don't think this is going to work. It's not even the right approach.
-
Be yourself and never find love is pretty much Rainbow Dash is trying.
-
DERPY SPOTTED.
-
He will have no skills.
-
Lol, Dash showing off.
-
So thats how ponies play ball? They rolls it?
-
Think speed dude.
-
He's like not even moving.
-
You walk faster bro.
-
TWO BOOKS? Come on dude.
-
You're like a wimp.
-
Dude, Dash is trying to say you suck.
-
Good job Ponyville team!
-
This actually is a smart move by Dash possibly.
-
Not the time, PP....
-
She is so into him, but the kid doesn't like him at all.
-
"A BOOKS ARE AWESOME!"
-
Okay, too far Dash. He will look horrible.
-
Dash he is not going to play well!
-
This could end very poorly.
-
Come on, do good, Quibble.
-
Well that somehow worked.
-
Dude bro, you missed.
-
Kid is good, he is not... OH WHAT?! He made one?!
-
Oh no... he didn't...
-
Nice try, he that isn't right...
-
Oh no, his love is through now!!!
-
dash, your ideas aren't good.
-
Sky still likes you I think.
-
Just be truthful... even though earlier Rainbow said the opposite.
-
But oddly enough, Dash just said the smartest thing.
-
Maybe she wasn't the right person to help him.
-
Sky is so into him. It's cute.
-
Good idea Quibble.
-
He's totally kinda smart.
-
Sky is so awesome.
-
Quibble, lol! Rainbow's response is hilarious.
-
I love the exchange with Quibble and Sky.
-
Lol! So cute.
-
Wind is becoming nerdy like Quibble. :D
-
Sky is lovely, and Quibble is dorky, it's cute!
-
I actually liked this episode probably way more than I should have. It was cute and adorable and I liked the character interactions. I am giving this a 9/10.
-
Starting it up now. :D
-
Who else thought this was the cutest scene in the entire episode?
*Raises hand*
-
Finally saw it. This episode was a cute one. The Oswalt family was fun to listen to.
-
This was a really great episode! I loved the whole thing. 9/10!
Who are the Oswalt family? Is that Quibble's family's name? I wasn't aware of that.

Naw, it's just the voice actor's last name.

YES.
-
I loved that scene too when Dash did that! I can't believe someone uploaded it!
Also this.

Naw, it's just the voice actor's last name.
That is correct. Patton Oswalt, a known comedian and actor, voiced Quibble Pants. His daughter voiced Wind Sprint and his wife was Clear Sky.

Good episode. I’m pleasantly surprised by it.
Growing up, I saw this subject in movies but never in a cartoon. Telling it from the adults’ perspective was pretty interesting, too.
And I really like Quibble now. He’s not a character I realized I wanted to see again. ‘Love Patton Oswalt’s voice. :-*

I have to agree.
-
Great episode. Loved how it covered a type of relationship not too talked about in such shows today, as far as I know.
I loved Wind Sprint's voice. ^^
-
It was probably one of the more interesting episodes in the show. Seriously. It tackled a really interesting subject that some can relate to. Even if not in that situation, people can at least understand. I give them major kudos to talking about this subject matter because it's more common than you think. It also showed both sides, though focused more on Quibble's of course. Overall it was a really enjoyable episode and I really think it deserves some good praise. 9/10.
-
I did catch up with this episode and I got to saw it was good! It had great moments that were surrounded by average montages and cliche's. If they could have hit on all the highs for more time, I would rate this higher. But because it didn't, it seemed to drag the score down. I give them credit for handling a rather mature topic too between adult ponies. Remember, they aren't kids!
8/10
-
I liked the episode a lot personally. I want to give it a 9/10.
-
I still can't rate it that highly, especially if other episodes like Frenemies also gets a 9 out of 10 from me.
-
I agree that our ratings can vary widely from person to person. It is hard to do. 8 seems to be a good number agreed on many, so about a B score.
-
Though a 7 I also view as good, but then that's just a C... so average.
-
5 is an F... But in theory in our rankings it should be MEH. Not great, not horrible. Just there and didn't add anything to the recipe.
-
I feel there would be a lot more rated that if we went by this logic. But if we did that, people would think every episode failed when they surely don't.
-
It's hard to do for sure. Everyone's got a bit diff system.
-
Then you got people who don't rank at all.
-
Then we can never get a good number on our score averages. :D
-
We will eventually find out the best season via our averages.
-
MasterX is doing that I THINK.
-
I think he was too. I'm not sure anymore if he is.
-
I'll ask him.
-
I'm curious to know. Thanks.
-
Yes I am keeping track. After season 9 I will do the totals for this season. I have previous seasons done and on a document. :) I plan to release it all.
