It is a slight detriment to have to get a license in our case... unless someone is willing to go through all the training.

Well, I think our dream of owning the boat are still sunk.  If we spent this much time planning how to afford keeping it up and maintaining it, I think it is impractical.  It is attainable, but not sustainable.
