Thoughts and prayers to everyone in the region. It will be a bad week for them all. It's not the wind damage, but the water damage. There will be flooding from Houston, to Austin, San Antonio, the entire coastline, Laredo, and into Corpus Cristi. It is projected so far, to be very bad. The storm will stall tonight, sort of over Port Lavaca and Victoria, then move north over there weekend, then go southward towards Laredo and then turn back to Rockport by the middle of next week. That whole time it will be raining and have either super storm winds or hurricane force winds. It is going to inundate this south eastern portion of Texas.
Latest model runs have changed since I first posted. That is the problem with news articles, they get outdated, so when stuff happens, I am sure we will update it here. Some models are now showing 50 inches of rain for areas around Rockport, Texas. It is going to be bad. Expected that 3.5 million will be out of power, but so far no power outages, which says a lot so far about the infrastructure. Lots of flooding already happening along the Texas coast. Storm surge as high as 17 feet in places already, and we are just getting started.
