Milo Murphy's Law Discussion

New show that might be popular, might not be. Might be popular with us, might not be.  The first episode of this new Disney show just premiered.

It is written and done by the same team who did, "Phineas and Ferb" so there is talented writers who know how to be funny. Lets see how this show goes.  The main star is voiced by, Weird Al.

So I watched the first 2 episodes.  I liked what I saw, but I want to see it develop more.  So far, I don't know how they can make this show last based on this simple concept.

Weird Al's voice, all I picture is him when Milo talks.

The animation is great!  It's on par with the Disney animation revival in cartoons during the late 80s and 90s, except this is better, smoother, tons of great action and scenes, especially in episode one.  Great scenery in their mountain/forest city they live in.

The girl seems a bit too blah about everything, and in typical PnF style, the writing is just said, not really acted... so you can either like or dislike that.

I watched it yesterday and I agree, that animation is just a continued improvement on Phineas and Ferb and it very much has that feel.  I will give it some more time to establish itself, but it was a good start.

So I did watch it and I will give it between a 6 or a 7.  It was good, but nothing spectacular.  I also didn't feel Weird Al's voice really fit the character.  I didn't like the girl too much yet as a character, but I did enjoy Milo's other friend.

So I have now seen all six episodes released of this show.  It has potential, but right now I would give it a 6/10.  I don't know how they can keep using this same formula for much longer then a season or two.

Fun thing, it also takes place in Danville, the same place as Phineas and Ferb.

It is worth a try to those who haven't tried it.  It took a few episodes for me to get used to it and their characters, but it is okay so far.  I feel the characters are all a bit hallow at this point, and not fleshed out.  I know that will take time though.

I feel a lot of shows go through that. Like Star vs The Forces of Evil. It takes a while for a show sometimes to hit its stride.

I haven't. I don't think I'd like it. Not a fan of the style. And really haven't heart "outstanding" from it. Just that it's good.

I would have thought that "Star & the forces of evil" would have been like some super popular cartoon on Deviant Art or rivaling Steven Universe, but it doesn't seem like that happened.
