Full lockdown in Germany will continue at least until Mid February. Rate of new infections has gone down a little, but not significantly. Vaccination starts from February (after health care workers it will be people over 80). Cloth masks are forbidden in public. People have to wear medically certified masks or simple surgical masks.
Oh no. Lockdowns again?
They don't have lockdowns here in most areas, only in very urban cities or some states with specific governors in charge. The case rate here has been dropping since December thankfully. They began rolling out vaccines in December too with about 1.6 million being vaccinated a day. That has dropped to 1.3 million a day being vaccinated this past week. Healthcare workers and those most at risk are first in line to be vaccinated, but they are currently changing that to allow more people to get vaccinated. They estimate by spring anyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get it. Right now you have to sign up through your local health dept website or call.
Surgical masks are much better than the others asks, but we have no such restrictions. People do have to wear masks though.
Good luck to you! Thanks for sharing.
