Also thanks for sharing those photos of the trucks and the info about the parts, Timmelon. It does make sense. It probably isn't easy or affordable to get the correct parts. But I can't imagine it's all that cheap to make retrofitted parts for the new headlights either.
Well, some plastic adapters are probably not an expensive thing, since there are some manufacturers who makes them not by one
. The hard part is an adaptation to European trucks — since they have 24 volts in their circuits, car headlights at least require to use another bulbs. US trucks with their 12V are easier to retrofit, but some engineering skills are required too, especially if you have modern electric schemes with one control unit instead of separate switch-wires-bulb on every light device.
