What made me very curious are these two photos of the same location.  It has a US/Idaho/and Canadian flag.  So is this something new in Idaho?  Bonner's Ferry?  Some border crossing?

And then my finds for Montana.

Roundup, Montana and the courthouse.

Coming into Great Falls, MT from the north.

Downtown Bozeman, MT.

Very good work on the finds.

Yes, those pics are a pretty poorly done Bonner's Ferry, Idaho.  The quality doesn't look all that good. :-\  Actually a lot of these photos aren't really that accurate to the real locations.  But from Bonner's Ferry Idaho, you cross over a pass into Montana and access the Kalispell area.

Yeah, that is Bonner's Ferry, Idaho.  They took some liberties and I bet it will just be a scenery town.  It's a very small town.

This is roughly the same-is angle the photo they took is of.   Sorry, no 3D buildings, lol.

And this is sort of the same angle but on street view.

Yep that is the place.  You got it! That second pic of Bonner's Ferry just seems so underwhelming.  It reminds me of older ATS.

I don't play this game, but for some reason I love it when I see you guys comparing the game photos with the real locations.  I find that super cool!

It is looking okay as it's still in the early stages without being touched up yet.  It sounds even more promising!

They sort of said in that blog post that the new city to replace Santa Rosa won't necessarily be something we see right away.

Good eye, @Silverwing!  You are right.  Here is the quote.

One particular area which our community may take interest to, is the changes to the surrounding road network in the San Pablo Bay Area. With the removal of San Rafael in this rework phase, our team have made some major changes to the road layout, junctions and location of highways in this area. These changes are also being made in preparation for the new city which will replace San Rafael in a future rework phase. Here are just a handful of the changes made.

So for the first time ever...
Spoiler (hover to show)
I installed a mod!!! Oh my gosh!  It was a seasons mod and if you are curious.  Link is here.
.

It is the middle of winter and my adventure begins with me picking up a load in Rawlin's, Wyoming with a destination in Sandpoint, Idaho, and one more stop ending in Everett, Washington.

I start very early in the morning and there is light snow in the ground.  The sunrise is beautiful and the temperature is 8F according to the truck's thermometer.

Starting early I make good time and whizz through Wyoming, Utah, and make it into Idaho.

As the sun shown, I got to see some of the best of Idaho's natural surroundings.  But this was short-lived...

I made it up the Lewiston Grade without much issue.  Snow plows had recently plowed the highway.

I made it to Sandpoint as the early winter sun dipped below the tree's and the moon was over-head.  It provided for a beautiful sunset.

With my delivery dropped off in Sandpoint, I slept till the early morning. I woke up to something white on my windows.

It was beginning to snow.  I grabbed my last delivery for the weekend and headed for Washington.  But it was extremely foggy and snow was beginning to fall heavier.

The rest of the trip was a slow and treacherous trip as it was nearly white out conditions all through Eastern Washington.  Spokane city skyline?  Nope, totally covered by heavy snow.

The snow continued heavily as I reached the Cascade Mountains and crossed over the mountain pass.  But thankfully the snow turned to rain as I entered the western half of Washington.  I didn't take any photos here as it was mostly just rain and you've seen rain before.  I was able to deliver my goods to Everett without any issue, it was dark, but it was a fun journey and fun to see the weather change throughout the journey.

Cool! (in all meanings ;D)
I have never used any mods except one Freightliner FLB and one MAN TGS for several game hours two or three years ago.

I am happy SCS games are very mod-friendly.

Also, it must be interesting to see the 1:1 scale for Cheyenne-Laramie descent in this weather with realistic physics ;D. AFAIK, there are a lot of pileups every year.
