Oh nice.  That seems pretty good.  They also so them going around a lake, so I am not sure where that will be.

I did some more searching around and west of Truckee is Donner Lake.  That is probably the lake we see in the photos.  Which means there is most likely another freeway exit from the freeway in the game.  It is possible... maybe, they will also have a side road, the historic old Donner Pass.  Not the freeway one, but the old two lane highway!  Very curvy and old fashioned!

Oh, again I am receiving a flashback from '2001 Hard Truck 2 ;D. That game had some hidden roads — you could not see them on the map until you drive on them. And today SCS says they are going to make this in *TS 1.44!
I doubt this will change the gameplay a lot (in HT2 those shortcuts allowed to change the difficulty from «Impossible» to «Shantae and Seven Sirens@Beginner mode» ;D), but there will be interesting to watch what roads were meant to be made as a bonus for curious players — honestly, I didn’t try to find any race circuits or hidden roads for all 5+ years of playing, so, it’s time to start exploring.

I never tried that hard either to find them.  I just sort of stumbled upon them.  Kind of excited to see what roads I missed.  I kind of wish it would be an option to show or not show.  Some people like the hunt.

Also, I love that sign «PLEASE, MINIMISE DUST».
Very, very fitting to this forum.

(I can add «don’t distract @Soda  from driving!») ;D

Honest question in my mind.

I wonder if the recent actions by Russia against Ukraine will have a negative effect on sales for the Russia DLC that is upcoming.... or if it will be postponed and released at a later time?

Possible theory as to why there hasn't been an HoR blog post in awhile. They've been focusing on California rework, Montana, Texas, and the Austria re-touch-up.

I just checked, the last HoR update was Feb 8.  I am sure they are very close to release.  I don't know if current events will effect the DLC's release.  I am sure they have been discussing it on what to do as well.

Of course, I am glad we can see that new stepdeck trailer better than in a screenshot from previous truck stop post, buuuuut... I think SCS were going to show photos from DLC mentioned by you, but were afraid of the possible reaction (also, as you may know, the country where SCS is from had some troubles from Russians earlier). So, the postponement of the upcoming release is pretty real.

SCS is stalling with Russia blog posts.

Montana looks nice... truck stops don't show much, lol

I mean, this all could change if they decided to show a HoR blog post tomorrow.  We don't really know unless they say something.  But it is true they haven't had a HoR blog post since Feb 8, which is a very long time in SCS time.

I wonder if they are going full scale work on reworking ATS parts and ETS2 parts now?  They got to quell possible dissent from the ETS2 fans by making that Austria re-work come faster and very well done, as well as other regions if they can't release HoR right now.

For the record, Czechia (Czech Republic) is cool, as are almost of all of Eastern Europe.  I don't know why we can't just have peace.  I know there is a lot of intricate parts to everything... but come on, does anyone really want war?  I don't think so.

It's a nice update.  Rest stops are just a bit more boring to me than other things, but I know they spend a ton of time on them.

Well, I know SCS is fairly close with to finishing HoR.  Possibly testing phase.  But they could very easily postpone it's release given the latest news and invasion taking place.

Many people say politics and this game have no relation, and they are right to a degree.  It could be bad optics for SCS to release something that shows an aggressor country in a good light.  So they will have to play it carefully.

^ I understand your argument, but there are countries with questionable leadership already in the game... granted they aren't invading country's right before our very eyes....
