Looks much more streamlined than 49X.

It's a real highway truck.  Something the 49X isn't.  The 49X is more of a heavy duty work truck in rough environments.

T880 league, if speak Kenwortish ;D. The same as International HX, which has really low chances to appear in this game since 9900i made it first.
And that future 57X (?) looks pretty much as hybrid of Cascadia and older T680.

UPD:
Sacramento looks great:

Also, I love that «Interior camera horizon lock» option ;D. Works better than chicken head stabilizer.

ETS 1.44... tomorrow?

I can't wait to try this tonight.

ETS2 will be tomorrow or Thursday.

I've been playing ETS2 lately, but now I got a lot to explore that is new in ATS!

I drove in from Medford into Redding along the I-5.

The new Redding actually feels and looks like the real Redding somewhat now!  We have progress! ;D

I had planned it perfectly the day before to drive right into Northern California from Klamath Falls, Oregon.  It is looking really quite good.  They've made roads very windy. I have yet to drive up the new 101 or into the Wine Country of Napa Valley.

I think we will get an announcement for a release day of a new ATS DLC within two weeks. I really think this week or next.

Nice guess bro!  ^b-

I think I have seen a similar post several days ago ;D. Not only these DLCs are being made at the same time, even the news about them are close to each other and look similar. As for locations mentioned in every posts about upcoming DLCs, today their development is more challenging than earlier — some time ago players could be excited just to see actual green state after desert ones, but today the developers are forced to make the forests, shorelines and mountains of new states better than forests, shorelines and mountains of previous states — to keep running the hype train ;D. As I remember from the gameplay video of delayed ETS map expansion, the new forests are more and more far from generic wall of trees (and the fresh Californian update confirms this), so, maybe, the developers can show us something even more cool in Montana or Texas.
P.S.
Just a funny graphical bug: these... uhm... smoke emitters are separated from the actual pipes ;D.

Also, I didn’t pay attention to that photo

for a first time, but now I see they are testing this truck with my favorite trailer type ;D. I even see the empty holder for a hazardous cargo sign, so it’s a rehearsal of my typical high profitable delivery of Dynamite from Colorado to Nevada/Washington. One run — one reward equal to new truck price.

I am surprised to see a Texas update.  With how much Texas and Montana seem to be almost done, I don't know how they can keep dragging on blog posts about them.  One will come out sooner than the other... they can't possibly drop at the same time as a bundle... can they?

Because lets say they release Montana first.... how many months would they sit on Texas and keep posting blog posts about it?  Certainly they would (and are) working on another state as well, but it just seems odd, the timing of Texas and Montana.  They seem like they are both in their near final stages.

And I have a complaint... a sad one. These are not the type of tree's Texas has.  Forests don't look like this in Texas. :-\  Hmmmm.  Evergreen, pine, and sitka spruce do not grow as they show in this Texas update.  This might be the first shocking incorrect thing I've ever seen from SCS.  Uh oh.  No part of Texas is as lush as these images show.  There are forested parts, but not with these types of trees.  Did they not create the right trees for some reason?

I am curious about this dynamite run you speak of, @timmelon.  What city in Colorado is it that you take it from?  I don't know if I've ever seen it.

Burlington to Salem, for example.
With RM Double and three red arrows sign ;D you can earn 160-170 k$ even on my current Level 29.
With TP Double that amount of money can be taken at shorter run to (or from) Carson City.
Not only dynamite, some fragile stuff or cargoes with a full pack of icons ;D are very expensive.

If you remember, before they added trailer cables in patch 1.31, there were jokes about Wi-Fi trailers, so now you see a Wi-Fi chimney.

I noticed that as well, and so did a user in the blog post.  The more SCS see's this, the more they can fix it before release.  I think part of the issue was that all of the animated props for forestry that SCS has is based off of trees for the Pacific Northwest.  They didn't have a prop using the "proper" trees and they tried to fill it in with Pacific Northwest trees so the animated props wouldn't look out of place.  Sadly, they will have to change to the correct trees and remodel some of the animated props to the correct trees if they want this to be more accurate.
