I must say, I am surprised SCS didn't post something on Friday.  Will they instead surprise us with a Saturday post? Will we just have to be patient till next week? ;)

They give us so much content in previous months, so they definitely deserve a vacation — it’s an August, after all.

It’s been a long week (of driving across Idaho, of course ;D)...
New screenshots from Iberia DLC:

Mmm... I wonder how much money will bring me the delivery of a yacht from Lisbon to St. Petersburg ^-^.

Has anyone else ever been given a yacht delivery... only to take it to a city not near any water? ;)

^How it can be possible? ;D I can assume there was some mistake in a list of possible target companies for that cargo.

They extended the current ATS event, but not for a long time.

UPD: Colorado Road Network.

Colorado is going to be the last green state with forests and mountains (other than western Montana) for awhile. Because we will be entering the flat plaines states.  Looking good so far.

Certainly this week SCS will have some more details... or are we getting spoiled?  How many other developers post stuff EVERY SINGLE WEEK?  Lol!

And don’t forget that it’s a pretty small company with not very diverse products.

...

Hmm, I was curious about how do you see the *TS games made by major game developers?

Bizzard?
Rockstar?
Valve?
Capcom?
Microsoft?
...any another?

It would lose it's originality and character.  Granted, if they were tied to bigger companies (I am sure THQ Nordic is looking as they like to buy up these simulator companies) they would have access to better tech and have more resources for awhile.  But I am sure eventually the big companies would let them take the time they need and say they aren't making stuff fast enough/or it isn't earning enough money compared to their other games. They'd probably ruin them and make them work on other projects.

No, no, no, I meant a different thing:

Since there are not many news to discuss (for now ;D), I would like to know your opinion, if some of major game developers will make its own truck simulator, what face this game will have? Like... this company made a game with some unique quirks (which made this company memetic years ago), game from that company turned out to be fun to play but too far from reality and so on... ;D

Well if SCS had competition from ANY other company.... SCS would have to step up their game and start creating more and innovating more.  They would be forced to come up with new ideas and solutions of known bugs.  Certainly the other company would have multiplayer and most likely a bigger budget.

SCS would have to probably do many things that their fans have begged for and restructure how they release new DLCs.  Of course SCS could stay the course and continue to release good quality content, but after awhile, their competitor (in theory) would be doing the exact same thing.

SCS will have the upper hand early on with name noteriety and longevity, but that simply can't sit back and rest.  SCS is slowly doing new things, upgrading, being able to walk around in more places and have a custom driver/garage interior are also in the early stages according to insiders (PM me for more info).  But over time, if the competitor from these other companies has big enough pockets and enough people, they can surpass and shock SCS.

Thankfully the only competition we've seen is from no-name companies that haven't proven they can compete on any level.
