I may have made a theme list before on the old forum but I can't remember if I made one here.

I wanted to share new boss themes this time :) All of them are from a series that I honestly NEVER played, but I got interested in because of Super Smash Bros Brawl. The KIRBY series. Out of all the themes from this series I listened to, this one is my top favorite.

The sorceress boss who's drawings become reality :) I love how her theme drastically changes from elegant and mysterious into art-bending reality at around 0:50. Also, beware of the second form's theme at 2:10 XD. If you listen to it with loud volume on headphones, it will hurt your mind ;) Seriously. When her health gets low enough she freaks out and her art literally becomes her. It's an interesting boss for sure.

For a kids game, this final boss was super freaky. http://mikoto-chan.deviantart.com/art/KBY-Zero-Two-193586329 Anyone who's played any kirby game knows the final boss of the game is much, much darker than the rest of the lighthearted kid friendly atmosphere. This boss theme is a great example of good vs evil theme :D

(Imagine this theme with the MLP universe. The mane 6 vs. Nightmare Moon. This would be an epic theme. )

One of the most retro but awesome final boss themes I've heard in a long, long time. Especially that beginning few seconds. I get pumped up when I hear this theme for some reason...maybe I'm just crazy ^^;

And the boss theme that started me looking into the Kirby series to begin with is...THIS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZEV84o_E7U It's actually dedede's boss theme from the original game modernized. The classic boss version is here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZUaI8CHHy0 (watch the boss fight from 0:20. Kirby is possessed while asleep in this game. 2:30 is when the true final boss shows up. 4:10 is the final form.)

What boss themes do you guys like? Share them here :D

Boss themes eh? Would this fit under the Sountracks thread?

But uh let's see... Hmm. Oh! Megalovania. The song that plays when you battle Sans in Genocide run (does that count as a boss theme?). Pure awesomeness in sound. Love how it starts, love how it builds and swells and has these moments where you can just feel the direness and the stress one must feel while battling Sans.

Also, Flowey's boss song when he turns into the monstrous vine thing.
And of course, Asriel Dreemur's boss theme.

I think Boss themes specifically are different than soundtracks. Soundtracks cover an entire game and there's a ton of variety about what it could be. Bosses are more specific and I think it may get confusing if this was combined with the Soundtrack thread.

MEGALOVANIA! :D Yes. Oh yes ;) It's an awesome theme =). All three themes really take a wonderful spin on the boss the theme is about. Flowey is dark and menacing and more than a tad crazy while Asriel is powerful and majestic with a hint of sadness.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQZOQPXNSaw this video going along with Asriel's theme is FULL OF FEELS...also lots of spoilers.

Sticking with LP, Asgore's theme is toptier

Magus from Chrono Trigger had a great theme for its time.  Granted, CT's entire soundtrack was awesome.

Going a little more retro, FF4's boss theme

And away from RPGs, Ace Combat Zero's final dogfight

All I can think of for now.

Thanks for sharing Kyrl! :D I loved hearing these themes. I never played Chrono Trigger but this theme makes me very curious. FF4 is the first FF game I played and this theme takes me back :)

Ace COmbat theme is pretty epic! Asgore's theme is great too.

Watching the beginning of that video, MS, I wish they'd make an Undertale anime already.

Orenstein and Smough Theme- Dark Souls

Soul of Cinder Theme- Dark Souls 3

Gerhman, The First Hunter Theme- Bloodborne

Psycho Soldier (Matt Helm's Theme)- No More Heroes 2

Philistine (Margeret Moonlight's Theme)- No More Heroes 2

Molgera Theme- Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

I could go on, especially with the Souls and Zelda games, but I'd rather not.

And I spose my favorite boss is, of course, from a Souls game, the final boss of DS3, the Soul of Cinder.

Don't we have a topic like this already or was it at PSF 1.0?

Okay, here are some of mine.

Metal Gear Solid 3.  Yes, this played as the boss music, in an epic way.  I will never forget this boss battle, and the song just doesn't seem like it should fit, but it does.  The battle as a whole feels surreal as flower pedals whirl around you and Big Boss.  It has a very James Bondish feel, especially with the vocals later on.

Metal Gear Solid Boss Battle Music.  And oldie, but I remember it.

Spyro The Dragon.  Way back on the Playstation 1.  I used to play this game, and the music was one of it's highlights.  This is from the final boss battle.  At about 1:15 it gets suspenseful then they throw in an organ, and it totally works!

Crash Bandicoot 2.  Final battle with Cortex.  It's odd, it is sort of dark at times, and has aspects of beach bum tunes, then has even some tropical and who knows.  But it worked for this game.

Going to make a comment too, the Ace Combat Zero music was beautiful in that game!
