Dreamworks dominated 2022 over Disney in terms of animation.  They made way more money in the box office and had both their films be huge hits.  Disney... well, they produced woke crap no one wanted to see and bother their films were box office blunders.

The new Puss n' Boots film is really good!  We actually have a TRUE villain again unlike all the villains of today's films being so week.  There is spoilers, but if you watch the first minute of the video below, there will be none.  It just shows how good a villain he is.

I finally saw the "Bad Guys" at it was a lot of fun for a movie.  I expect Puss n' Boots to be the same.  It reminds me of Dreamworks' prime with the first Shrek film.

Compared to 2021, 2022 is a whole different Dreamworks.  Its like this year was their passion projects compared to what they released in 2021.

Dreamworks dropped their next animated film.  Not sure what I think seeing this trailer.  After a very strong showing in 2022, this one doesn't appear to have the same punch.  But it might be good as well, who knows?

RUBY GILLMAN, TEENAGE KRAKEN.

Pretty simplistic style.  Not really my thing as they all look samey.  I not the intended market for this, so maybe it will be good for them.  Visually the animations look good and the visuals do too.  But I am not a fan of the character designs.

It's going to flop hardcore.  It doesn't look good visually or have much appeal to it.

Edit: Oh my gosh.  To show how bad it's going to flop, it came out almost a month ago and I didn't even know.   :-0  It released June 30, 2023.  It flopped HORRIBLY.  Dreamworks knew it would flop and didn't advertise it.

$70 million budget.  It has made a pathetic $17.2 million back...  P>>

I can at least give it this very little credit:

It did spawn some parody art of the mermaid girl doing the foot scene from the Little Mermaid. XD

I guess the Dreamworks hope train from the past two movies before this one derailed, crashed and burned, and left no survivors.

Ruby Gilman is one of the worst box office openings of any movie of all time.  It is the worst of any Dreamworks film.  Literally only made $5.2 million in it's opening weekend.

The movie looked like crap to begin with and the ads certainly didn't help.  Very unappealing look.

Who would have expected the top studios in 2023 would be Sony Animation and Illumination...
