I don't have the same issue as I do in ETS2 with not visiting old areas. Even the old areas are much more bearable in ATS.  Plus a lot of major routes go through them. ;D  The state I probably visit least is Nevada.

In ETS2 the place I go to least is by far Turkey.  I never go there.  It's too far away, lol.  Also Russia is probably second.  I never go there either.  I don't like all the steps it takes to get past border crossings.  Just let me delivery the goods, don't slow me down!  ;D

For ETS, it’s Switzerland and Luxembourg because they are too small, also, I don’t very like the generally low speed in Romania and EE-LT-LV.

For ATS, it’s mostly California because it has a lot of trailer restrictions ;D. But, the percentage of time spent in California (if compare to other parts of ATS map) is much higher than Switzerland ;D.

Speed limits?  HA!! I don't even know what that is.

Well, there are some curvy roads which just don’t allow you to drive fast ;D.
Also, Baltic has several weird intersections which are almost normal except the couple of very tight turns instead of one smooth circle, which force you to lower the speed even more.

(did the designers have a high-voltage cable in their mind when they were designing this intersection?)

BTW, when I started play ATS, the secondary roads of Nevada were the most dangerous because of a high speed limit and a lot of tight turns just after the long smooth road sections .

P.S. Did they try to jump on an actual Magnum to see how parts of its cab move against each other ? ;D

@Rainberry and @Soda now is the time to buy any DLC for ATS and ETS2.  They are all super cheap with the Steam Autumn Sale. :)

I have no idea, but I can say for certain, I wouldn't want to be the F1 driver racing beneath the truck as it gets some air from that ramp!  No thank you! I wouldn't really want to be in the truck either.

So, the reconstruction of older ETS map parts continues! And those small houses on the fourth screenshot look super cute ^-^.

Looks nice.  Glad they are fixing up the map.  My biggest gripe still is even the old cities that have been fixed still seem so disconnected to the motorways and the rest of the world.  They just don't feel like the real cities.

ATS does not have that issue.  The cities and towns seamlessly transition and seem natural.  In ETS, the cities still just STOP and that's it.

I can say old ETS cities have one little advantage — all bases are close to each other and the garage ;D. It’s often unrealistic, but when some Iberian bases require to drive for 15 minutes from garage or service station, I miss the old cities ;D.

I don't like having to drive a long ways to get stuff either.  I dislike it when towns are really close to each other and your delivery is the next town over and it takes a long time and distance to get there! lol.  I had this problem a lot with having a garage in Sacramento.  You could have pickups is Sac, Santa Rosa, San Fran, Oakland, and Stockton!!

I hate it when a pickup is like 50 miles away.  I sometimes accidentally click those because city borders can be so random at times.  Denver is one of my biggest pet peeves.  A few drops are clustered around downtown, while others are far away at the airport.  I might even terminate my garage there because I hate that so much, lol.

I know the feeling well. ;D  I try to find home garages that are right next to gas and a repair shop as well.  I don't want to drive miles to get repairs.  One of the best for a repair shop right next to the garage is Eugene, Oregon.  But it is also one of the worst for picking up deliveries. :P

Once I buy a garage in ETS2 I am switching to ATS.

I will have to give it a look then.  But Farmington is so far from everything. ;D  Lol.  I think if I remember right, I have a garage in Flagstaff which in my book was too close to put one in Farmington.  I will have to look at it in-game though.

Are you getting close to buying your first garage, not including the starter shack?
