See, that is tough.  It could either be a surprise hit like the "Life of Pets."  But I also seeing it just not being that appealing.  I will still expect maybe 38m-44m.  Should be better then this week's films in terms of money.

I think the Boss Baby will do well, but bomb in the ratings and reviews.  It looks shallow.

For the most part, you can release a kids film and do pretty good.  Parents will always take their kids to films.  So yeah, the reviews will be very poor I am sure, but the money they make will still be decent.

The characters look really bad and rubbery in my opinion.

Exactly.  It is just a cheap movie to make a cash grab.  No time or effort was put into an aura like old films. Here's a quote on a "Boss Baby" review.

"Childhood isn’t as special as it used to be, as it was when kids were forced to make sense of the world on their own terms, as it was when the animated movies Hollywood made for them were lushly hand-drawn, rather than plasticly soulless. “The Boss Baby” isn’t as ugly as “Sing,” but it’s not far off."

It can be lifeless and bland like so many CGI films now, but if they keep making money, they will keep making lifeless characters.  I miss hand drawn...

People will start to realize how soulless CGI is.  I've been saying it for over a decade now.  Very few studios get it right with CGI, and Pixar is still consistently one of the studios that buts more effort in that.  Most others don't.  They are just characters with thin skin.  Thats it.  No inner depth.

Well, I believe you.  Maybe someday a studio will do hand drawn again.

Indeed. It was also called out for white washing  excuse scarlet Johanson isn't Asian but the owner ly ones who actually called the studio out for it, were americans. The japanese didn't give a shit. In fact they actually LIKE the casting choice.

Usually very few groups ever call racism on anything.  Asians are not one of those groups.  For the most part, they couldn't care less.

Here we go, Dunkirk is getting reviews as the "best movie of the year" and a true movie masterpiece.  Something that can't be said about anything else this year in film.

Entertainment Weekly

Variety

Hollywood Reporter

"Steven Spielberg laid claim to the Normandy beach landing, Clint Eastwood owns Iwo Jima, and now, Christopher Nolan has authored the definitive cinematic version of Dunkirk."

Dunkirk will release Jul 21, 2017.
