Post by: Death Blossom on 2016-12-19 21:24:48: Surprised no one has made a topic for this movie. I felt I should make one for it, seeing as it's coming out tomorrow, December 21st (according to Google). Sing is Illumination Entertainment's 7th movie. They are best known for Despicable Me and those pesky yellow dudes, the Minions.

"Dapper Koala Buster Moon presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. An eternal optimist, and a bit of a scoundrel, he loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Facing the crumbling of his life's ambition, he takes one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world's greatest singing competition. Five contestants emerge: a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine."

Sing will feature the voice talents of: Matthew McConaughey (the koala), Reese Witherspoon (the mother pig), Seth MacFarlane (the mouse), Scarlett Johansson (te porcupine), John C. Reilly, Tori Kelly (the elephant), Taron Egerton (the gorilla), and Nick Kroll (that other pig).

What do you guys think? Are you going to go watch it?

Post by: Death Blossom on 2016-12-19 21:44:53: Well, I feel they picked the all star cast for the singing ability. I guess from early Viewing's people have been saying it's good. I've been seeing 7.5-8's and stuff. My family wants to go see it, and so does my SO, so I'm going to inevitably see it haha. Not that I mind, it has me interested. Reminds my mom and I of Happy Feet, with the whole singing old school songs (and new ones).

Five years from now, it won't mean anything and be forgotten. It is a film for the "now" and not meant to stay relevant.

Post by: DEEcat98 on 2016-12-21 20:24:28: No it was not Meena (who is the elephant), and it was not Ash. Although I would have liked to see either one of the two sneeze in the movie which sadly never happened. :'( It was the iguana lady who sneezed.

Yeah, I kinda don't like that when it happens in movies when they show a sneeze in them. But at least we have our imagination. If Ash sneezed, I would love to see her sneeze a bunch of quills from her which would scare everybody! XD

Post by: DEEcat98 on 2016-12-21 20:43:24: Well it's a cartoon, cartoons don't have to be accurate to real life. Also seeing Ash sneeze which would cause her quills to come out would be something that I would have loved to see in the movie! ;D

Post by: Death Blossom on 2017-01-22 13:04:53: Nah, not exactly. There is conflict with the characters and there were moments in the film where I went "oh no" and was worried about the characters and what not. There are moments where it is a bit mindless. But it's interesting.
