Actually it's a common misconception. It isn't Hasbro that does the cease and desists. It's someone in association with them.

COTN I don't think can get a C&D. They don't use Flash to make the animations.

Also, apparently JanAnimations is a dick to work with. He helped on SillyFillyStudios I believe. I know people who have worked with him. He's an ass apparently.
