Space.
The final frontier.
These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise.
Her ongoing mission: To explore strange new worlds.
To seek out new life, and new civilizations.
To boldly go where no man has gone before.

Saw the new Star Trek movie today and it was awesome. Anyone else out there like Star Trek?

Water, earth, fire. Long ago, the three seasons lived together in harmony. Then everything changed, when the Shyamalan attacked.....

I watched that 2010 movie and liked it. I also saw that episode(movie?) where they try and save the whales or something. Thought it was cool.

LP: The Save The Whales one was #4 of the original set of movies.

The one that just came out was good in many ways, but it suffered from a weak villain and some underdeveloped character arcs, IMO.  Idris Elba is by no means the first good actor to be wasted in a Star Trek villain role; Christopher Lloyd was a very ho-hum villain in #3 of the original movies.

I think the same team could make a very good Trek film for #4 of the reboot movie series, if they're able to create a memorable villain to focus the plot.
