What if I bring the BBQ itself?  I assume you already have one there, Silverwing?

@timmelon @kiku
I got a text message from a friend of mine today.  He is currently in Alaska and he snapped a photo of a moose! Here is the photo. He said it was alongside the road and he stopped to snap a picture.

That was not zoomed.  He sent me a few other photos of the same animal zoomed in but they weren't as good.  He was that close!

Apparently this is a normal thing to happen in Alaska.  Moose, elk, and bears. ;D

Nice so many people brought over stuff for the BBQ.  You all rock.

No moose allowed I'm afraid.  They can get very wild. ;)

Thanks for sharing the photo, @Anyponedrawn ! Wow... The moose was so close to the road - I hope it stayed in a safe distance.

Don't worry.  I'm not bringing moose.  The only moose coming is of the mousse variety. ;)

Do not fret @kiku.  Moose are extremely common along the roadsides of Alaska.  All wildlife is.  Thankfully for the most part, they seem pretty aware to stay away from cars. And thankfully as well, Alaskan motorists always slow way down when they see wildlife.  They come to a stop.  It's very common.

In fact, according to the Alaska Department of Transportation, the odds of being killed by a moose in a car accident are 1 in 200,000.  Alaska's population is very low, so this is barely two incidents involving deaths a year.  The number of moose to car collisions is quite low as moose tend to run away from cars.

Last thing I found in this weird little rabbit hole of information is that you're far more likely to hit wildlife on the road in Sweden, than anywhere else. This is followed by Canada and then the US state of Maine. So... yeah.  There ya go. ;D  Who knows how accurate all this data is though...

@Anyponedrawn Cool moose photo by your friend!
