Oh no.  :-0

I gotta confess, outside of anime, I am totally uninitiated in 80s animation. But that’s about to change. And where better to start? Where worse to start?
I never realized this, but G1 actually spans both of the old shows, with MLP not returning to animation until the G3 movies (I’m gonna watch those as well – but they don’t deserve their own thread).  So that’s My Little Pony 'n Friends (2 seasons + the movie) from 1986, My Little Pony Tales (1 season) from 1992, and those G3 movies from the turn of the millennium. I’ll be watching it all! Just to do it; I gotta know what they’re like.

…Aaaand I gotta grab all those sneezes, too.  ^-^

So my question to you is: what’s your experience with Ponies pre-FiM? Did you watch any of it? Do you remember seeing it everywhere?
I’m aware of the """""hype"""""" but what would you say I’m in for?

And if you know nothing about it, well I guess stayed tuned and I'll tell ya!  ;)

You are watching it so we don't have too.

Thank you. ;)  I wouldn't wish anyone to have to forcefully watch these.

So my experience was right during the peak of these being a thing.  I didn't care for it or watch it.  I didn't like a lot of the cartoons the 80s and early 90s produced.  I say episodes here and there, but at that time, this was labeled strictly as a "girls show" in class.  So us boys didn't watch it.  We watched further junk like He-Man and.... whatever else was on.

It wasn't my cup of tea back in the day.  I try to forget about it.

I didn't watch a whole lot though.  Like MasterX, it wasn't the kind of shows I watched back then.

Have fun.  I ain't touching that. ;)

Lol, j/k.  It's never interested me.  I think most 80's cartoons were poorly written and especially this era of stuff, they were purely to sell toys.  It was so basic and so boring. Animation SUCKED.

Let me know if it's good.  If it's worth maybe a watch, I will give it a try.  I have watched only a handful of the classic show.

@AnyPoneDrawn

Much stranger an experience than anticipated...
I've been watching this analytically. Taking notes, paying close attention. Not just running it in the background as I usually would. Thus, I've needed to take many extended breaks. :))

@Silverwing Heeeyy! 8) All's well!

That screen cap alone encapsulates how strange this series looks, lol!

So someone uploaded some sneezes from this show.  Some I've never seen.

(F)

You all might enjoy.

How do you like that first sneeze? What a lovely placeholder sound effect they just left in!  :))

That one's kind of a meta episode - the ponies get forced down a sort of beauty assembly line run by monsters.
