Is Nordic Horizon's coming faster than we expect as well?
I doubt it.
I would rather expect to see the Benelux rework. Give us some flat European countries! ;D

Agreed on that.  Would like to see Nordic Horizon at the end of the year.  They really haven't updated us much on the Benelux rework.

They will need a new ATS State DLC to release with 1.56 if they expect to get 3 released this year.  But we also have the big unknown in the Route 66 Rework which they have been radio silence about.

Some of those locomotives look really cool for the ETS2 DLC.  Some look like really fancy tractors, lol!

BETA is out too! Good to see.  Is anyone trying it out?

I will wait until the release.

Well, the shunter locomotives literally are the rail tractors, with smaller engines and high gear ratios optimized for high pushing capability in exchange to lower top speed — EffiShunter 300 can make only 60 km/h. The interesting moment — it has the Caterpillar engine similar to one we can install on 379 or W900, but a bit smaller (C13 instead of C15). Actually, all CZ Loko products shown on their site run on Caterpillars.
The locomotives made for long distances and higher speeds have significantly bigger engines.

If there are no new content added during the beta test, the 1.56 patch for ETS seems to be stronger — the same list of changes as for ATS plus updates for three DLCs.
And two locomotives for the base game, of course.

To carry the 36-ton one, you need a Low Bed trailer with at least four axles (Vossloh G6 with its 60+ tons requires five of them), for the yellow multi-purpose vehicle even two is enough.
As one small but important change, they finally allowed to set up your own default driver training policy, so now you can select Long Distances just once, without switching from Balanced after hiring every new employee.

So, when do you expect to see the 1.56 update? My vote is for the late September as the beta test beginning...
So, I was wrong for almost one month ;D. So, the full version release is probably going to happen in mid-September, which makes me expect 1.57 this year as well ;D.

Very nice update for 1.56.  A lot of under the hood updates which are very good longterm.  Looking forward to try this out when it becomes available in the official 1.56 update.

I do expect 1.57 late this year (it will be a smaller update most likely) or early next year.  It's going to be a tight squeeze.

Lot's of good changes on this upcoming ETS 1.56 update.  I can't wait to see what DLC's drop when it releases.

I am liking the variety! A nice change over Iowa and Missouri.

For a small island, they sure have a lot of variation of church designs.  They left out their most iconic church in the post.... well I mean it is technically there, but super far away.  Shame we don't drive along the coast around downtown Reykjavík.

Hallgrímskirkja.

Actually, churches are probably some of the most notable landmarks for most towns and villages in Iceland. So it makes sense on the focus.

I wonder, will they have a separate post dedicated to the famous volcano? ;D
