We are witnessing the next homegrown success story in animation (hopefully).  The studio put out this new short animation promoting Lackadaisy Season 1.  The goal was to hit $125,000USD for the first season. 

Backerit Funding

As of July 27, 11:55pm.  They have had 6,021 unique backers and have made $721,903USD.  I think we just got ourselves a first season, second season, and more.

Over 25,000 followers and $1,104,196 now. This is more money than Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel ever got.  Like tons more.

They wanted $125k for one season. They are at $1,124,349.

They could do 8 seasons if they only paid $125 per season.  They are almost at 9 seasons.  Not that that is how they are going to do this of course. ;D

I did watch the full length pilot and I was really impressed and happy for them.  It is so cool to see independent content be created and at such a high level.  They will only improve with time as one can see with the animation quality in other independent projects like Helluva Boss (which I do not care for).
