Here is a topic about Nickelodeon's most recent Cartoon that came out this Year and has right now moved to it's Second Season called The Loud House! So if any of you on this form do at least like the Show, you are free to talk about it here! ;D If any of you would care to talk about the Show, you can talk about the stuff you like about this Show!
-
Oh hey, you can embed images. Just do this: [img.][/img.]
-
Oh, ok. Thanks! ;D
-
Sweet! New topic.
-
Thanks! I have been addicted to the Show since it was first announced, and when I saw the Show being previewed on Nick.com in April with the episodes A Tale of Two Tables, The Sweet Spot, Hand Me Downer, and Sleuth or Consequences I was immediately hooked, then I saw the first set of episodes released on the first Week of May and that is how I felled in love with the Show! ;D
-
Sweet! We'll see if it attracts more people here. :)
-
Well the Show came out this Year, I'm sure most likely there will me more people who watch The Loud House in the future since it is pretty popular right now. In fact speaking of which the Show right now is more popular than Spongebob! I'm not joking! As of right now The Loud House has higher ratings than Spongebob! Kinda like how the Disney Movie Frozen became more higher grossing than The Lion King!
-
Well. SpongeBob is crap.
No one watches it anymore so....
-
Spongebob is way past it's prime, so it's about time something else came along.
-
I still like Spongebob, but I think I am liking The Loud House more than Spongebob.
-
Old SpongeBob is still classic. New SpongeBob... The sooner death comes the better haha.
-
Not all new Spongebob episodes are bad. Like I actually liked Sponge Out of Water.
-
I've watched this show a little bit, maybe two or three episodes. I guess I should check it out.
-
Watch it more you will love it! ;D
-
I tried watching this series, I gave it about four episodes, starting from the beginning, and it isn't my cup of tea. The characters are cute, but every character is a trope or a stereotype. To me the stories seem to shallow and thin, and just don't capture my interest enough. I'm also not a fan of some of the characters such as Clyde. He doesn't seem a proper fit to Lincoln, and why does he have white hair? :)
Anyways, I am glad Nick has a new show, and it is innocent enough, but I was hoping for a series with a bit more meat to sink my teeth into. It is a good mindless show.

I said this elsewhere and will say it again.
I really don't think there is anything I watch on Nickelodeon anymore. The channel overall is just a shadow of it's former self, and no current show on then network will have a lasting impact. They are all these "fad" shows that will be popular a short time then disappear. The Loud House is an example of that. Another examples was TUFF Puppy. It had a quick "drive by" following then they moved on to the next thing real quick. Same will happen to this show.
Nickelodeon has nothing that will last right now.
I also dislike FLASH animation, so I don't care for this show's animation. This kind of flash animation is very.... meeeeeehhhh. Super cheap looking, but decently done at least. Too bad networks won't give more money to produce better then flash material. It gets real old, and the limitations are irritating. All the angles are always the same and very limited.
Sadly this new generation of kid's are stuck with such a limited selection of shows, and mediocre shows they think are great, because they simply don't know better. Give me an hour with any one of these new generation of kids, and let me show them shows from Nick's glory days, and they too will most likely agree, that they currently have been short changed by Nickelodeon.

I understand. I actually really like the Show. It's been a while since Nickelodeon did a really good Cartoon. I like the art style of the Show because of how cartoony it is. Well it is not Looney Tunes cartoony because it does not do wacky humor, LOL! But the art style is still cartoony. The Show does kinda have a feeling of most late 90s and/or early 2000s and Cartoons now a days with a nostalgia feeling are pretty rare and it is good to see The Loud House do so. Also the Show has some good episode plots for it being a slice of life Cartoon. Lincoln and his Sisters are pretty cute. Speaking of which the characters looking cute looking is one of the reasons why I thought of taking a look at the Show back when it was first announced. Luna is my fav out of all of them, I just really like how she is a cute rocker with a rockin attitude.

I picked up on that vibe, and I did enjoy that. I know what you mean. It has a different feeling then a lot of shows. For some reason, it reminds me of another show that went against the grain, that was short lived on Cartoon Network. You might remember it, but it was called, "Whatever Happened to Robot Jones." I am glad you find so much enjoyment in the series and have a passion for it.
-
Well I doubt if it will go away too soon. It's pretty popular right now and it has beaten Spongebob in ratings, so I think it will have a decent run as long as it does not go too short like Invader Zim or too long like Spongebob.
-
Eh, it just seems like dad popularity. Like Wolf said. I don't think I can get into it.
I get that you're saying it's Sunday cartoon style of the old days. But the reason old day cartoons had simple shapes was because they didn't have the technology to be animating and moving them easily. Hence why a cartoon in this day and age has no excuse. If they wanted an excuse to do the old school look, they should have hand drawn it. Or at least drawn it on computers. Not just, lazy circle flash animation.
And again, SpongeBob isn't popular anymore. Hence why it may have better ratings than it lol.
-
It could get more popularity as time goes by. Right now on Deviantart, a lot of people are talking about it! LOL
-
Well... A lot of people on DeviantArt are talking about freaking Bread Winners lol.
-
Bread Winners = one of the worst shows in recent memory.
-
Despite what I said, as long as someone enjoys the series, or any series, that is all that matters. I just stated my opinion folks, lets move on.
Just remember the other big name series that faded rather quickly, Phineas and Ferb, TUFF Puppy, Danny Phantom, etc.
-
Phineas and Ferb was a good show, and had good ratings. But I don't think it had much following online, or did it?
But yeah, different strokes, different folks.
-
PnF had big ratings, huge ratings actually. Best Disney ratings program ever I think. But they oddly had little to no presence online. They had a forum, kind of.... and a fairly sizable following on Deviant Art, but most of the DA people were hounds, then they disappeared and moved on to the next "fad."
-
Well all good shows must come to an end as long as if they have a good run. Also I'm not saying everyone has to like The Loud House. I'm just trying to get this Show more attention because anytime a new show or movie comes out. I like to try to give them more attention if any one is interested in it. Also I am fine with how much views a show or movie gets as long as it does not fall into obscurity.
-
Oh and mind if I talk about one weird and random moment of the show. If any of you want to know what it is. Here is what it is. In the episode Heavy Meddle, there is one scene in it where the sisters randomly turn into a tornado called a Sisternado because Lincoln said that he does not want to kiss a girl. Here is what the Sisternado looks like.

Please don't forget to embed your long links. They stretch our borders and look unsightly.
-
That is really weird. :D Lol! Didn't expect that.

Sorry about that, I forgot.
-

I know! Also they don't explain if the girls really did turn into a tornado or if it was Lincoln imagining them turning into a tornado.
-
Oh and here is another thing. For some reason, I see this show being the Nickelodeon version of Peanuts. If any of you watched episodes of The Loud House, you'll see why the show has a few similarities to Peanuts.
-
Season 2 has premiered and we are a handful of episodes in. Season 2 is showing a higher average viewer rating then the previous season by just a little bit.
Last season was around 1.7 million average viewers. Season 2 is seven episodes in and is seeing about 1.8 million viewers. For full Nicktoons ratings, check my latest post in the Nickelodeon topic.
-
Well that is a good thing! ;D The show seems to get more viewers as each episode gets released. Also there will be new episodes of the show towards the end of February. It's pretty interesting how Nick gives this show many week bombs to premier new episodes in one week.
-
Got to watch a few episodes of this show. It's okay.

NICKELODEON REVEALS LOUD HOUSE MOVIE IN THE WORKS
SOURCE (http://deadline.com/2017/03/spongebob-loud-house-sherlock-gnomes-1202054433/)
Nickelodeon may be jumping the gun here, but they are heavily hinting at a LOUD HOUSE theatrical movie. Paramount is making a movie based on the popular Nick series The Loud House for February 7, 2020. Other then that, no details.
-
^ A movie? Really? The show has barely been out and it's ratings could easily drop. It is a fad show, like Tuff Puppy was. They are jumping the gun.
Took SpongeBob years to get a movie. Took Rugrats years to get a movie.
Show just comes out and they already want to give it a movie. Dumb move. I bet it will get cancelled.
-
What?! Seriously? I think they are jumping the gun here.
-
I'm surprised by that early announcement.
-
I think the show will last for a pretty long while seeing how it's becoming successful as of Season 2, maybe it might beat The Fairly Odd Parents as the second longest running Nick show right before Spongebob making Fairly Odd Parents new becoming the third longest running Nick show. Or maybe The Loud House might just end up being Nick's third longest running show before SB and FOP.
-
Still too early to say how long the show will run, but at the current rate and if ratings stay up, I expect it to be the next "Fairly Odd Parents" type show for the network lasting al long time.
-
Good point. But I think most likely the show will have similar long running to Phineas and Ferb where it lasts for a pretty long time and then the writers pic a good time when to end the show before people would get tired of it.
-
Phineas and Ferb was popular, but actually had a very short run. Lasted 4 seasons, but they produced many episodes from 2008 to 2014. It lasted more in years then seasons, simply because Disney was slow about it at first. The show ended based on the creators wants too, not Disney's. Phineas and Ferb became the longest running Disney Show, topping Kim Possible.
The Loud House I see having longevity to it. I just don't get them already wanting to make a film on it. It isn't THAT popular.
-
Well it might become more popular as more people get into it and Nick might advertise the show more.
-
Nickelodeon as a network is one a downward spiral with most of their shows. They have too many live actions shows. They remind me of 2000s Disney.
Think of it, Nick only has maybe 3 animated shows currently being made. That's not much.
-
I think this show will become the FOP... the next one.
-
I've been able to watch a good handful of episodes from this show now. I would place it squarely average to a little above at times. It certainly has an agenda and message they want the next generation of kids to have, and very liberal in it's leanings.
-
I decided to give the first episode a try.
And I've already started watching the second season as I'm typing this. ^^'
-
First episode turned into all of season one and two. lol. Okay.
How you liking it? :)
-
All I can say, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. ;p
-
Glad you are enjoying it.
-
I have actually watched a good amount of this show. My biggest problem is that the characters never go beyond just being stereotypes and tropes. There is absolutely no depth that carries over from one episode to the next. That is my biggest gripe. I would place this show as a whole in the 6/10 range for me.
-
The Loud House as a whole makes me think of the world and characters in Kick Buttowski.
Same style and animation, though Loud House has a bit of a more oldie time design.

I watched one that sort of throws what you said for a loop. Forgot the name of it, but it has Lori go on a "date" with Clyde to try and make Lincoln and her boyfriend... whatever his name is, jealous. It was actually kind of cute... and there was BLOOD, three of four times. ;)
-
I am now watching the whole series...
-
Welcome to the club. ;)
-
Oh no, what is happening? I am watching it on Youtube right now. One of these 24hr broadcasts!
-
I've finished it a few days ago. I really didn't think I'd watch all of it, lol.
-
Well I am glad some of you are getting into liking the show! ;D
-
FINE! I will watch more of it too.
-
BTW I just find many of the characters on this show to be really cute! Like look at this adorable pic of the Loud sisters here! ;D

Old news now.
'Loud House' creator Chris Savino was fired for Sexual Harassment Allegation (http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/loud-house-showrunner-chris-savino-fired-nickelodeon-sexual-harassment-charges-1202594788/).
