Long time ago, when I was younger and dashingly more handsome, my friend and I were paid to clean by their parents, their deck.

It somehow ended with him dropping the bleach bottle, it exploding on the porch edge and flipping into the yard.  Grass died.  His shirt and pants died...

They paid us all summer to mow and pick weeds.  In the fall, we racked leaves.

Back in the old days, kids did labor and worked hard for their money.

So old.... so old...... We had to walk 15 miles to get to school and 15 miles to get back!  15 miles to go to the general store to pick up some screws and a crankshaw....
