HASBRO TO ANNOUNCE MLP GENERATION 5 ON FEBRUARY 25, 2021

As well a generation 5 movie?  The film will be done in CGI though, the new Gen 5 series is not expected to be CGI.

“With the movie, we started development and made the decision to expand the world of My Little Pony, rather than starting from scratch with a total brand reinvention,” Thompson says. “We found ourselves with this whole decade of storytelling and really rich lore, and it felt wrong to walk away from all of that.”

You bet that last paragraph really worries me... Seems like we might get a My Little Leftist series... and if so, I am completely out. I am worried about the pandering and quotas they might forcefully do... and it seems likely.

It worries me as well. The phrase "diversity and inclusion" is pretty much synonymous with leftist politics nowdays. There's nothing wrong with teaching morals to kids, but what's been lumped in now with that phrase has very little to do with morality. Heck! Even the definitions of diversity or inclusion, and have more to do with indoctrination into a self-depreciating mindset about treating people in a majority group with hatred and disdain for no other reason than you were told to.

I'm not putting my hopes high that they'll handle it in the same way but I'm not so naive as to not give it a shot in all seriousness.

At the core of it, if it can be kept lighthearted and fun then it'll succeed, but if their activisms are pushed too hard it'll become the same cult indoctrination bull we see in all other modern cartoons.

Before getting too negative and worried, I am excited to hear there is a Gen 5 coming.  I will wait a bit till we hear more before I start worrying.

I am getting mixed signals and it confuses me.  So there is a new G5 movie or a new G5 tv series?  Or both?

From what I know, the movie is certain and they are calling it G5.  It is likely they will build off of it and capitalize on merchandise with a tv show.
