Keeping the pony revival going. Loved the video above. This one asked and tries to answer a tough question.
I always found MLP to be it's own unique timeline. Not our timeline. It's it's own world and universe too. It has a mix of different building types, but it's really a unique blend. They had modern skyscrapers too. They had light bulbs, but also had oil lamps. They had carriages, but also had cars. They had trains and also showed blimps and sailing ships.
I never tried to place them in our own world. They discovered and founded their own technologies. It doesn't have to line up to us, because they are not humans. They are modern for them.
how did you felt about MLP later giving so much depth and focus on Starlight Glimmer and the Young Six where they start to become the main characters when the Mane 6 don't get the spotlight?
It was good because the Mane 6 just became characters of themselves as we saw in later episodes. They were one note and very minimal. They weren't given depth or growth anymore. Everything that needed to be done with the Mane 6 was done and they were out of ideas on how to evolve them. New character's allowed the writers to start over with a fresh mold and have new character's to play with.
@Spiffmin It is surely a unique universe and world of their own, but on a similar planet to ours. It isn't called earth in their universe, i don't think. So it's running it's own timeline.
@DEEcat98 I think
@Spiffmin summed this up well. I don't really have much to add.
