Maybe not a true simulator, but it sure came out of left field. No one saw this coming. So if you play the NASCAR Heat series, you may have heard of driver Tony Stewart. He won championships and was quite the driver back in his day.
Well he teamed up with Monster Games (Remember them?) and released "Tony Stewart's All American Racing." Sure it doesn't have the biggest budget, but it's current the biggest surprise release getting really positive reviews for a back to basics racing game on a dirt race track in Anywhere, USA on a Saturday night.
Steam PageThe developers say they are working on more tracks and possibly more racing leagues to on top of the three they included. While not as polished as say Wreckfest maybe, it certainly seems to show promise with the early praise.
The game company, Monster Games used to make the original NASCAR Heart series that was known for it's realism in the early 2000s until they lost the rights to NASCAR games when EA took ownership and drug it through the mud. Now
Monster Games is doing what they love and making another racing game in what can likely be seen as a successor to their
Test Drive: Eve of Destruction game that also took place in rural America on dirt tracks. It was a hidden gem of a game and a personal favorite growing up.
