 Back in my youth I was part of a Christian teen puppet group at my church.  We performed in venues like schools, nursing homes, even atop our own float in the the annual local Christmas parade.    This experience was actually the inspiration for the "Minister Cheesy's" animatronic band in TBDC #77, though our show didn't have a dog and a lobster.      During that time I also had a brief but memorable affair with one of my fellow performers.

All those hours of puppet practice, it seemed, afforded her hands a certain strength, endurance, and dexterity that proved quite, shall we say, transferable.
