The Swiss update so far has been beautiful! Loving the photos @timmelon.  I am sure a few of our other photographically inclined members will also be sharing theirs as well.

Anyway, the logic of a new interface is a little confusing for now. If they just had redrawn the buttons and menus, it could be not so critical, but now you need to make more clicks to open the same window. Just like a typical complain for an over-computerized vehicle — instead of pressing one physical button on a panel, you need to look at the screen (while driving!), open the menu and click the right option ;D.

P.S. Two posts a day! I didn’t notice the second one.

The user interface will certainly take some getting used to.  But the new shading and anti aliasing is making this game look more and more current day. It's impressive.

When SCS releases so much at once, I don't know what to do?  Lol.

The shadows look definitely better ;D. The same with the wires.

I don’t expect any new states before October ;D. So, we have plenty of time to explore all three reworked areas and the new map expansion.

The SCS servers are down? They aren't working.

They announced on Twitter an hour ago their servers are down.  Probably setting up the Nebraska trucking event.  Unfortunate for those trying to complete the Swiss event.

Okay, I noticed when the game started after the update (playing ETS2) is changed all my settings to default and low graphic quality.  Now for some reason I cannot get my game to look like it did before.  I noticed in the distance everything is blobby and meshing together.  Visually it looks worse, but up close, it looks okay.  Texture has vanished for the most part and everything doesn't look as detailed.  What is going on?  I changed the settings back to HIGH graphics quality and it still does not look as good as it did before the update.  ???

They seem to be running smoothly now.

Go to the options menu then settings.  Try turning of the FOV (Field of View) option.  This will blur the distances in some areas.  You can also increase the game's sharpness by looking at the info for each setting option.  But I think it is the FOV.  I turned off FOV blur as it always makes things look worse in my opinion.

The new Sports Paint Job Pack DLC looks meh to me, so I will explore the new state using a plain green truck (you see — they even gave me a green container! ;D). As with Kansas, the road network is very straightforward, so all the cities can be opened after three or four deliveries.

BTW, I have found another small fix from 1.50 — the fast travel to Idabel now throws you into the service station inside the city, not at 170 miles away from it, as I have complained a month ago ;D.

I got some photos from Switzerland but can't upload now. I got to go to work.  I'm gonna finish my WoT event in ETS2 before hoping into the new Nebraska DLC and doing that event. We have until July.

try turning the FOV off and changing the TAA level.  :)

Yup, four deliveries, as I said before ;D.

What can I say about the northern part of the state — with the long draw distance, the slightly «wavy» land looks much better than just flat one — you just see more stuff in the same amount of space ;D. Also, one new thing I liked a lot — some small towns don’t abuse the traffic lights as in other states. For example, Chadron has several crossing streets, but only one has the lights, so driving there is not as annoying as Coeur d'Alene or Roswell. The trailer restrictions are similar to California — even 53' spread-axle is not allowed, luckily, four axles with a steerable rear wheel fits everywhere.
I like the name McCook — sounds like a bland-name product like Cool Cola or Hi Phone.

Haven't gone to Nebraska yet.  Still in the Rhine River region.

I honestly really like the new UI now.  Everything is easier at the moment.  At first I thought it took more clicks, but really, you just hover the mouse over an icon, the options appear and click.  Intuitive.  I love the quick click menu too.  It looks far more modern.

I am three deliveries in with the Switzerland trucking event. Once I finish that, I am jumping to ATS.  Switzerland is very pretty.  The graphics overall in the game look better, once I got the settings back to where I like them.  I actually like the new game UI as well.
