Now we know of a new electric Scania coming but nothing for IVECO.  I think IVECO will never have an update and I am willing to bet their license expires eventually. The only manufacturer currently in the game for which we have had no news whatsoever in the last couple of years is Iveco, for reasons we can only speculate about. Iveco has changed ownership at least once since the Iveco Hi-Way was introduced in the game, the last time right around two years after the S-Way was introduced and right around when a licensed S-Way could probably have been shown off as a teaser if work had started when the truck was revealed IRL; but with a shift in ownership all licenses would have had to be renegotiated... with a party for whom licensed merchandise was probably not a priority at that time.

I was not aware of any of this.  Thank you.

^I still hope the situation may change to the better in future.
I work with truckers irl then I go home and play as one.   ::)
As I remember, it’s a common joke for Germany with their restrictions for violent games ;D.

UPD:
Looks really rich ;D.

Peterbilt has an update coming (two of them).  That is known.

IVECO has no known updates coming. :(

Yes, two known Peterbilt's in the works as well as two Kenworth's.  Also some International trucks are being worked on and a new Mack and Western Star.  So there is a lot.

All this was news to me. I guess that is because I don't follow truck brands much.  Thank you.

Time for some long haul trucking.  Should I do ATS or ETS2?  Hmmm, ETS2 still has the longer distances I think.

Also, ETS has pretty slow roads in some areas, so the same distance in Spain (with their bias to the highways) may be covered two times faster than in Romania or... or Corsica, where is very difficult to build the straight roads ;D.

Did you choose a route?

I just did a Garden City, Kansas run to San Simon, Arizona.  A smooth 697 miles. Carried a fertilizer spreader and got an excellent score!

While traveling into the states of Oregon and Washington, I noticed SCS did another secret update.  They changed the gas station brands throughout these two states (possibly more) and incorporated many of the new gas station designs. I don't know when they did this exactly, but as recently as February 2024, most of the gas stations in these stats were the black and red stations (forgot the name, is it GALLON?).  I specifically noticed this when stopping at a truck stop between Longview, WA and Olympia, WA.  I stop at this station all the time when in this region due to it's ease, but now it was on my map as unvisited.  I pulled in and noticed the station branding completely changes, as did many other gas stations in the region that I have been to before.

I didn't know that!  I will have to check that out.  How cool.

Adding to this, I think they've gone back and spruced up the geography and landscape a bit too.  I noticed more variation in trees and some better detailed far-away scenery.

They do little changes here and there.  I noticed some roads in places I've driven before have been turned to gray.  Not sure what they change... road signs?

SCS does a lot more behind the scene then we know. I wish they would announce the map changes they sneak in.
