My Little Pony: A New Generation Discussion

The new trailer and official name for the upcoming streaming service movie/tv series has debuted and unlike what a lot of people were saying before, it has ZERO relation to MLP:FiM.  Totally different world, different era, different technologies, all different.

So what do you think of the new trailer and the upcoming movie and series?  Is it promising or is it missing something to you?  Let's discuss!!

I must say, the trailer impressed me more than I thought it would.  I think it's better it's a totally different world and everything too.  New series, new characters, all new.  The writing seems to be much better than that trash, Pony Life.

I'm not sure what I think about the more modern technology... but its okay, I will get over it.  I like the world building so far.  Overall, I am impressed and more excited than I thought I would be.

Originally we were told this would be a new movie, but it's been downgraded it seems and won't be at theaters.  Now it's just a Netflix movie.  Sad.

Unfortunately I have nothing more on it. There weren't any guests at the convention that could give any info as they were not involved with Generation 5. But next year that could change.

Everfree Northwest?  That is the last remaining original big PONY event in the country.  I'm so glad they are gonna be going into G5 too.

There’s still a few cons going on but Everfree is the biggest one now that Bronycon is gone.

I'm surprised so many cons ended when a new show was right around the corner. 

I must say this trailer did a good job at getting me interested in this new world and characters.  The writing seems a much better step up than whatever Pony Life was...

I watched it a few times now and I must say, it has me on the positive end of the spectrum.  Very positive actually.  It looks like a lot more thought and care was put into the world building and characters.
