I would still say Cartoon Network is fairly valuable... despite the under 100k average daily viewers... really that low?  Yikes.... that's pretty bad.

 I do enjoy the nightly Adult Swim "Checkered Past" lineup. They showed a couple of Cow and Chicken/I.M.Weasel episodes over the holidays. I'm hoping they become a regular part of the block with my other nineties favorites. Why, even the later, lesser Chris Savino-helmed Dexter's Laboratory eps beat the crap out anything new Nickelodeon and Disney are offering up.

 I see Assy McGee remains conspicuously absent from the AS streaming feed, however. It's like they're ashamed of it or something. Is it some dumbass--no pun intended--Black Lives Matter protest thing because the show features police officers?

Yes it is.  I think if you do that in the States, as much as I'd like it, it would lose a lot of the novelty.  It wouldn't be a ratings hit either as it is now being limited.  It's something unique, special. As a channel it would lose that.

Nick reveals next new show with zero fanfare. "Zokie of Planet Ruby." The entire first season was just dropped on Amazon Prime.  Not even their streaming service on on their network.

Yeah, all these shows don't interest me anymore.  I miss the shows that follow a kid living his life.  Shows like Hey Arnold, Doug, Recess, etc.  That kind of show isn't really a thing anymore.  The closest I can think of were Clarence or Craig of the Creek on Cartoon Network.

Dani Phantom is already canon, though.  Maybe a next-gen thing, though?  Hey, can't be much worse than that live-action Fairly OddParents thing.

I think Butch Hartman's time is done on Nickelodeon.

So I'm three episodes deep into a new documentary series called Quiet On Set, which focuses on the abusive and toxic and abusive work environment prevalent at the network in the nineties and early 2000's. Clips from All That, The Amanda Show, iCarly, and a number of others are shown; one clip showed a young boy in a superhero costume and sporting a large, rather... um... phallic nose, sneezing a glob of snot in a woman's face. This particular moment is described in a manner I can't say here, but it was deemed pretty suggestive. Dan Schneider' penchant for slipping adult jokes in scripts and putting young actors in compromising positions for their art is well-documented as soon as the first episode, but the real crux of the series is Drake Bell's revelation that he was sexually abused by a trusted friend and producer. (Looking back, you probably should'a known you can't trust a grown man calling himself "Pickle Boy"). I tell you what, it's hard to watch those Drake and Josh reruns knowing all through filming the first season, secretly, what a mess Bell was: he suffered panic attacks, his hair was falling out in clumps, and his skin broke out in terrible hives. And this was the second incident of a pedophile rousted out at Nick. The real question is, did Schneider know, or have some inkling, what was really going on?  I mean, he hired these a-holes. Was there no vetting process at all going on there?

It was the wild west and these guys got to call the shots to live out their weird fantasies.  It's gross.
