I happened to notice the stars at night seemed to have disappeared in 1.40.  Hopefully it is just those instances choosen because it would be horrible to be on the open road in the middle of nowhere and not see big beautiful constellations in the sky.

Don’t worry, stars are still present ;D. If you look more «1.40 vs 1.39» comparison videos, you will find some frames where clear night sky is shown, and the stars are there:
After the beta test will be finished, I think a lot of people will spend more time on testing of new lighting than on actual playing ;D. Another good thing I see — with a new light engine the headlamps are not so blinding as earlier, and white road signs will be more readable when you have high beams on.

UPD:
If you have the Chinese Paint Job Pack DLC, it’s for free.

With everything China has been up to these past few years, that is one add-on I will not be buying.

You always shock me when you post here.

Stars are still there.

I do hope in remote areas of ATS, we can have the opportunity to see the full stars and constellations.

@Rainberry , are you a secret Truck Simulator admirer? ;D Maybe we don’t know something about you. And (maybe) you even have a truck sim room in your house, but you are afraid to confess :D.

Looks like Iberia already had more posts with screenshots than every other DLC ever. The hype train needs additional locomotive ;D.

When a DLC has been teased for so long, it's no secret it's hype train will be long and large.

Fun fact, the list of the longest known freight trains in the world!!! Think of it as a freight train full of ETS2 Iberia hype!

This will definitely provide the most differentiation in climate and vegetation with this new Iberia update for ETS2.

I still really hope they go further north into Scandinavia someday.  I would love to go above the Arctic Circle. :D

Iberia's SOUNDS Fantastic!

Back in September of last year, two members of our team, Matej & Irenej, travelled to Spain & Portugal to record new sounds for the upcoming Iberia DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Today, we are excited to showcase how these new sounds have been implemented into our sim by them and Filipkooo, who is another one of our colleagues.

I know it's not the most exciting update, but sounds are immersive and nice.  Though... they could have saved a lot of money and just recorded sounds in their home country.  It's not like traffic and ambience sound all that different. ;)
