Okay...so Baby Driver has nothing to do with babies driving cars...

Darn. Opportunity lost.

Oh well.

Also for some movie ratings fun... Cars 3 has broke even with $175 million in the box office.

Baby Driver just broke even and is at $37 million.

Despicable Me 3 has destroyed at the box office with $203.3 million.  The film cost $80 million to produce.

THE HOUSE with Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler is a box office bomb.  Only $10 million. Cost them $40 million to make.

Spiderman: Homecoming dominates the movies this past weekend drawing in $117,000!  It is being reviewed by reviewers as the best Spiderman movie to date, or at least one of the best.

Despicable Me 3 came in second and Baby Driver was third.

TOTALS so far.

Despicable Me 3 - $149 million.

Baby Driver - $57 million.

Cars 3 is bringing in the lowest ever in a Pixar film I think, at $133 million.  I will have to look into that number.

Wonder Woman is at $368 million and Transformers 5 bombed with just $118 million total.

Cars 3 is not the worst, gross.  That belongs to "The Good Dinosaur."  Cars 3 actually had a good opening too and when all the worldwide data comes it, it will be better, but still low for a Pixar film.

Just got done watching James Bond: Spectre.  It was... okay.  I would say it was light on the action and a bit too long.  I give it a 6/10.

I haven't seen Skyfall or Spectre.  For those who have seen both, is Spectre the bad one of then bunch?

Skyfall is better.  Spectre could have been good, but it was squandered.  It still had some good action scenes, but a lot of filler in-between and some wonky sound work.  Voices was too quiet, music and sound effects way too loud.

Here we go, Dunkirk is getting reviews as the "best movie of the year" and a true movie masterpiece.  Something that can't be said about anything else this year in film.

Entertainment Weekly

Variety

Hollywood Reporter

"Steven Spielberg laid claim to the Normandy beach landing, Clint Eastwood owns Iwo Jima, and now, Christopher Nolan has authored the definitive cinematic version of Dunkirk."

Dunkirk will release Jul 21, 2017.

Now for this past weekends box office results.  Shock is Spider-Man already dropped to number two.

1. War for the Planet of the Apes.

2. Spiderman: Homecoming.

3. Despicable me 3.

4. Baby Driver.

5. Wonder Woman.
