What kind of music have you discovered recently? Any new startup bands?  What do you like? Share, share, share!  I want to hear some new stuff and make a place with lots of new music for people to try out.

Yeah!  I actually did find something.  It's called VAPORWAVE.  It's some trip type of music I guess people think you should listen to while high... but I wouldn't do that.  It's a fairly new genre starting only in the 2010s. :D  I will see if I can find some examples.   The genre takes a lot of 80s music and combines it with Japanese and American influences.

Dan Mason is a musician in it.

When I think of Vaporwave I usually think of the memey shit. (At least, I THINK this song is Vaporwave?) From the few songs I've heard of the genre....usually memey shit... it's pretty damn nice,
relatively relaxing.

I have no idea what is vaporware and what isn't honestly!  Anyone can call anything what they want.

I have always been lead to believe it is chill out music, but more tied to 80s and 90s nostalgia.  I know there is CHILLOUT as a genre which is not based on 80s and 90s nostalgia.

Just discovered this Tasmanian musician who signs a lot of calm folk music.  Been loving their stuff.  I've been listening for a few days now.

Here is one of my favorite songs I've heard from them so far.  All Things by John Flanagan.  Good message in the song too.
