Maybe they are placeholders?
But they are pretty close to original signs. Just add more highway marks and you will get authentic ones:

But yes, French and German signs look better in my opinion.

*Continuing to discuss the signs*: it’s pretty unusual to see metric units there :o. IIRC, there was not any signs like that «25mph/40km/h» in ATS before, but, if my common knowledge is correct, Colorado have so many of them so SCS just can’t ignore that ;D.

I'm confused, why are there km signs in Colorado?  I've never heard of that.

It also appears that the majority of Denver is a drive by city with drivable locations away from downtown similar to Salt Lake City.  Denver has a cluster of cities around it, similar to Salt Lake, Seattle, and Portland.

It isn't common but back in the 70's, President Gerald Ford signed into law the conversation from Imperial to Metric.  No one followed suit... well, except for this highway in Arizona.  Arizona is still trying to change the signs back all these years later.

Article.

As for the reasons in Colorado, probably just a random occurrence?

I'm also excited SCS included Denver's infamous 'mousetrap' interchange!  You think that is exciting?  Wait till they get to Houston and Dallas....

Thanks for trying to answer it.  I think you're right though.

First, some of that new lowboys are extendable like Krone Boxliner (and some other container carriers), also, their tiny 245/70 wheels have paintable tyre option like their big brothers from normal trailers (checkmate, ATS! ;D Again.). As for Calais update, I see SCS got rid of traffic-retarding roundabouts:

and put the giant circle and a half-diamond interchange instead, making this road look like the real one:

Some streets became more narrow, but I think it’s another step to realism, and nothing more.

^ Excellent looking update and lots of good info.

Also based on the pics, the new one looks better from afar.  But I don't download BETA. I will have to take your word on it until it becomes and official update.

I always hated those older tiny little roundabouts.  It was hard to stay in your lane with big loads (but maybe I am a bad driver... I don't know).

I can answer that.  It is an anomaly and done randomly in some towns.  It's kind of a "woke" thing.

Well, I never downloaded the beta version too, and I never intend to do this ;D.
Mostly because the developers recommend to test the beta with a separate profile, and I am too lazy to make one ;D (it requires a pretty high level, low ones is useless to test some truck or trailers updates), so I choose to safely watch the reviews from other people.

AFAIK, that shoulder around inner circle is usually made for using it for such situations. But the other traffic has to give the truck driver a way, not to stick around him, like it does in this game.

My main concern with the roundabouts in these games is mainly the AI.  They won't always follow the rules of the road and cut you off or run into you.

I am also waiting.  I never do the BETA stuff either incase it just happens to screw up my save game profile.  Me make another account?  Never, lol!

This is great.  It really is.  Loving the new updated port area.

As they say, that teaser is dedicated to celebration of 8th anniversary of ETS2. Aaannnd... I see a lot of rejoicing from Russian part of community as that screenshots can really be as a part of new path from Europe to Russia — so we have big chance to see the famous Belarussian potato fields (and compare them to ones in Idaho ;D) and, maybe, the sunflower fields from the south of Ukraine (I hope, new ones, not copy-pasted from Going East DLC ).

Do you think this is Ukraine, Belarus and more Russia?  Would they dare go into the Caucuses?  When does this start becoming Asia?  LOL!

I am pretty sure I am not the only one would love to drive to Moscow... just see what it looks like.  Drive my truck with a dash cam on the front so I too can capture something ridiculous happening on my peaceful/dangerous drive. ;D  You never know what can happen!

On a serious note, if they did Belarus... that would be the first... I don't want to say dictatorship... but it would be the first country in the game that isn't a country that is considered "Free" if that makes sense.  I would be very curious to see Belarus and the lovely Belorussian people.  The only experience I have with Belarus is from Bald and Bankrupt and that old man Kalia he meets in the nuclear radiation zone.  Yikes!

Asian Truck Simulator anyone?  ;)

I'm seeing former Soviet states!  This is exciting! I have learned to love the more hectic and helter-skelter streets of Romania and Bulgaria.  What can these assumed former Soviet states give me?  I'm ready to drive over some potholes and bumpy roads!  I'm ready for a long drive into the Russian heartland and driving by Red Square!  Looks promising.

Well, since 2012-2014 many of vital highways are rebiulding in all former Soviet states, so SCS can make them smooth and this will not be a lie.
But, some legendary bumpy roads are still there — and some of them are ruined by overloaded trucks, especially grain carriers:

That beauty have a current record since 2015 — it broke the scales by its total weight of 135 tonnes (with only 8 axles! Compare this to classic 18-wheeler with less than 37t on 5 axles ;D). And what is more funny, no country in that region allows to use vehicles of that length ;D — or the rigid truck with short (~20 feet) trailer, or just one normal semitrailer without anything else.
So it’s the back side of modern truck engines and suspension — older ones would probably fall apart under that weight before the vehicle reaches the freshly made tarmac to ruin it.

Poland is a fine example of country spending oodles of money on new infrastructure. The power of Europe over the next fifty years will shift eastward!

As for the trucks mentioned above, dang.  lol!
