This is about one step above
Stupid News thread material, but:
Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, newest victim of cancel culture after "racist rant" comes to lightIt's like, dude, really? Same old song. You knew what he was all about over twenty years ago; the guy was harmless, like everyone's favorite, if mildly out-of-touch old grandfather whom you invite over to Sunday dinner a couple, three times a month. He pats the kids' heads, gives each of 'em a shiny new penny, falls asleep in front of the TV watching the ball game 'til supper's ready, and, once he's had his third glass of wine, starts telling ethnically-insensitive jokes. Before you would simply smile, shuffle the kids off to bed quietly whenever peepaw starts dusting off his after-eleven material, and say nothing, because hey, he's from a different generation and doesn't know better. Now, suddenly, people are mad and papers are unceremoniously dropping Adams' strip because, oops, they "discovered" what he really was. Again,
you knew all along; this is
the same guy who created an Indian intern character named Asok, who was voiced in
the cartoon by
a white guy, fah-gawd's-sake.
Oh, and he's a crusty old Trump supporter, no less.
