That was a disaster waiting to happen... much like the Iran nuclear deal made with the Obama Administration, where Obama sent billions of dollars to Iran in secret just before his term ended...

Where this strike could backfire is as if it is seen by the Islamic world as a strike against Assad fighting the Islamic State, or ISIS.  It will probably be spun that way...

Assad is technically fighting terrorists... but also killing tons of ethnic groups in the process.

^ That is something MasterX had warned about too, and Rainy touched on it.  Very likely it can be seen as an attack on Islam too, or so the terrorist groups will spin it that way.  Russia and Iran have a lot invested in Syria and their fight on ISIS.  Iran wants ISIS gone too... at least in their part of the country.  So they support Syria will billions of dollars to help them surround ISIS and rid of them.

Russia’s Prime Minister Dimitry Medvedev claimed the US missile strike was illegal and warned Mr Trump had been “one step away from military clashes with Russia”.  So as we were saying, they are just using strong words....

Sukhoi-22 fighter jet of the Syrian air force.  These were reduced to rubble in the attack, as it was this air force that dropped the chemical weapons. 


Russia's Navy is extremely outdated, though the frigate seen here is one of Russia's newest and most advanced ships.  They have sent the Admiral Grigorovich frigate from it's base in the Black Sea to Syria, to have a "presence" near the two US Destroyers.


The US Navy has two older destroyers; the USS Ross, and USS Porter, in Syria.  These two ships, while older then the Russian frigate, are still more advanced and more capable in every way possible.

The Syrian Navy is not ver strong and made up of old Chinese and Russian ships.  They are no match for anything the Russians or American's have in the waters.  A single US destroyer could wipe our a major chunk of the Syrian Navy... so don't expect them to get involved.

A truck was hijacked in Stockholm and then it sped down a busy pedestrian street and crashed into a mall 4 people plus a dog were killed one of the people was an 11 year old girl.
What's even scarier is that the police found what seem to have been a bomb in the truck, it could have exploded with the impact but luckily it didn't.
Still feels like a bad dream... 5 deaths and 15 injured.

Things are getting pretty intense on two fronts...  We got our worst relations with Russia in a long time, and a possible growth in better relations with China again...  Here is our world news today.

I got to thank you guys for the continued upkeep on all the news.  I feel so many people don't pay attention, so it is nice you have this here so there is at least a chance on our own site they will glance it.

This thing with North Korea is escalating fast, and is real scary.  Luckily China seems to be on our side, as is all of Europe and the other east Asian countries....  This recent thing of Kim Jung Un telling everyone to leave the capital is scary... is he just going to wipe out his own city as he goes into hiding?  Like, you have no idea with that man...

Syria is a continued problem and Russia's relations with the US and all NATO countries is a continued worry.  Russia is no position to fight, and the US certainly doesn't want to fight, nor does Europe.

This could be a massive turning point and a mark on history if North Korea falls... what happens to it?  Who gets it?  How is it paid for and how are the people "caught" up to modern times.... will there be welcoming arms from South Korea or discrimination?  So many questions we don't know.

I hope NK isn't foolish with a nuclear weapon... I can imagine him firing one at the US bound Navy strike force... or towards Seoul, or even his own country.  We really have no idea.  We are getting closer to their "Day of the Sun" celebration, which they promise we will all be in for something big.  Scary times.
