Memorial Day weekend!  We get three days off (for a lot of people).

Memorial Day weekend is very much needed.  We have a lot of remember, and I need some time to relax.

Ah, OK, I just looked it up - so Memorial Day is the last Monday in May. I first thought it was today which I found interesting because we've got a holiday over here too today, although it's of a different kind: It's Ascension Day today which is 39 days after Easter Sunday, so it's always on a Thursday, which means many people take Friday off as well to have a long weekend.

OK, so I guess most of you have to work today, but no matter how you spend this day or what it means to you, I wish you all a wonderful and peaceful day!

Thank you.  I've noticed this strange phenomena that holidays around the world, even when they are completely different, tend to be on similar days or around the same time of year.  It's very strange.  I've noticed it especially among Australia, the USA, and Canada.  We all seem to celebrate around the same time, but have different names celebrating essentially similar things.   So it's neat to see another holiday in Germany around the same time.  Happy Ascension Day to you.
