Yeah. Too bad it'd be sewed back to the rest.
ETA: Argh, not again!!

He's only cutting out the unneeded land in Saskatchewan and sewing the east and the west closer.
How ridiculous.

The country would save on transport costs. Save on travel times too. They would much appreciate it.

So when you cut off Quebec... where will it float too?

Logically, it would remain in place, like any continent.

That will be up to the Quebecers. I will install little motor boat engines along their coastline, and since they like to control everything like their power and water sources, taxes, etc, they can now control where their island goes! If they want to go visit the Mediterranean, they can boat there as a country! If they want to go and say hi to Greenland, nothing is stopping them!

America is too big to do that. We couldn't fit in the Panama Canal or anything... so we can't do that.

We wouldn't need to go through the canal... if America leaves... there is a big empty ocean under what is left of Canada....

It would be split into two countries. In the North would be Del Norte and in the south would be Mexico. South would be roughly Mexico City and south. Del Norte would have the nickname, "El Taco."
