I'm gonna cosplay as Deadpool. And then I'm gonna make it a cosplay within a cosplay by adding on an EQG pinkie get up (DeadPie) or get the fanciest dress I can find, a pair of red ears and wings, a horn, and then a scepter with a chimichanga box, thus creating Princess Deadpool

EVFN (Everfree Northwest) in Seattle looks like it is going to be huge again this year... I hear it is the best convention every single year, since they are so close to all the voice acting and studios. I think I am going to bite the bullet and just got this year. Maybe go for one day then explore that amazing state.

It was fun, it was a small one. Nothing big. But one artist was there that made really great art, like she was from a variety of fandoms and all her art is really well done. Very unique style.
There was a small panel my friends did. I just roasted a bunch of them during it. I'm a terrible person XD

Oh my god I don't even know where to begin. Everything was so perfect. The cosplay, not only my own but all the others, the basquerade dance, the panels, the skits, the friends, both old and new.....
On Thursday I got to the hotel and met up with my friends as we all checked into our room then we went and got some food. That was pretty much night one save for waiting in the pre registration line for our badges.
Friday was where it all began. I put on that dress and mask and I just ROCKED the con. Left and right people were asking me for photos and I was more than happy to oblige. Pretty much what we did that day was go and see the opening ceremonies where our friends Amber and Chrissy were working as the con's mascot and were doing skits. This year the con was super hero themed so the mascots were in super suits. It was awesome. Then we went and watched The Voice of Equestria contest. its a competition for voice actors and Chrissy. She was runner up. After than I walked around the vendor hall for a while then relaxed for a bit. Then at 8 PM we went to the BABSquerade dance. Not a big turnout for it but I did get a chance to dance with a Pinkie Pie cosplayer intensifying the 4th wall breakage. Video will be shown soon. And that was Friday.
Saturday, the con turned up full volume. The maximum attendance was there and once more, people were coming up to me all day long asking for photos. I wore the cosplay all weekend long. And the first thing I did was enter into the cosplay contest where I think I at least won fan favorite. I didn't win any actual prizes. But it was alright. After that I bought a plushie of the con mascot but there wasn't a lot else we did because not a lot of the panels were really engaging to me. But at the end of the night, me Amber, and another friend, Tony, ended up going to an 18+ panel where we laughed our asses off.
Then came Sunday. We didn't end up going right down to the con. We instead went to downtown San Francisco and saw a couple sights before heading back to finish up the con. I ended up sitting through some of the Bronies React panel but it turned out the Whose Line is it Anypony game was cancelled because Saberspark had to leave early to catch his flight home. So I left early because it was just a Q & A and it got a bit boring. So after that I went to the vendor hall and actually bought a few prints. I'll post a pic of everything I got later. I walked around for a bit longer and then it came time for the closing ceremonies. It was fun to see them all up their acting out their skit and then the con ended. Outside the mane hall where the ceremonies took place a few more minutes of shenanigans took place and I have a video of it. Some of this is even up on youtube.
And now it's Monday. Today we went back to downtown San Fran again to check out a few more things and then we came back here to the hotel to pack up our things. Then the hard stuff began when we had to take Amber to the airport. She just now boarded her plane and already I miss her so much, the full reading of my feelings can be seen here.
We're gonna continue packing up in a bit.But I had such a blast here and now that it's over....I'm sad. But I will always cherish these memories in my heart.

It depends on the size, but many have a main room filled with vendors selling goods like snacks, food, swag. Then there are many other rooms with various events being held in them such as interviews with tv show personalities, or artists, music, etc.

You remember how I told you I wasted a lot of money back in the day on pony commissions? Well the most expensive one of them all, http://fav.me/d54an14, this one, caught the attention of another friend of mine, named Roy. He found me in one of the artists streams sometime after the pic was completed. This was back when livestream was what every artist used to stream. XD. Anyway, he found me and asked me if it was ok to use the characters in the pic for a game idea he had. He was one of the founders of a studio called BogyleBronies. I gave him permission and boom, he brought me into a skype group filled with a whole bunch of people. One of those people, was Missbunniswan.
Sadly that game never came to fruition due to too many complications. But as time went on I began talking with a lot of these people and making a whole bunch of new friends. Somewhere down the line, MBS tells me that she is planning to move to California to take a job at Disneyland. I was sooooooooooo excited because she told me it was ok if I cam down and visited her. Not long after she made the move, I took her up on the offer and went down to Anaheim to meet her. This was the first time I had ever met an online friend so I was stoked. 3 years later here we are still friends and still awesome.

I've never understood fully how you get on panels? Studios? So are you a writer or what exactly do you do to get in a studio or panel? Like would it be impossible for me or say maybe APD or one of our artists or writers to join a group and get on a panel?

That's technically not allows according to DA RULES of BronyCon. Unless you have a vendor stand you're not allowed to sell anything. Doodles or prints. Which is something the Brony Theorist panelists abuse and do anyways. But there are people who sit around and do free doodle sketches for people.
As for me, I'm part of two animation studios as a vector artists and voice actress. So every other Con the studio has a panel, and last year I was on one. This year I would have as well, but I was in SA.

It's sad the convention is held in SeaTac. Truly like the worst city to represent the area. It is just an airport town of hotels, motels, and junk. Lol.
Though I guess if you wanted to hop on a bus, five minutes away is the massive Southcenter Mall in Tukwila.

Day one! I arrive in Baltimore at 6 AM in the morning and take a cheap train ride to the convention center. I'm rooming with AleximusPrime and SilverSlinger (The custom jewlery maker) But both of them are still a ways out so I just leave my luggage with the hotel clerks and go out to explore the area as the sun begins to come up. It was really cool. Saw the inner harbor with the old ship tours, bunch of shops, and the con center itself is frickin huge. Wasn't quite allowed in yet til things kicked off but whatever. Anyway. I go back to the hotel and fall asleep for a bit on a couch in the lobby because I Couldn't sleep on the plane. I wake up and see that Silver has already checked in so I go up meet him, and then he goes to try and find out where vendors check in. Then AleximusPrime showed up and we hugged it out and went down to registration to pick up out badges. Decided to go down there as princess deadpool to troll some people and get things rolling. Loved it. Ran into a few friends of mine along the way, Dawillstinator, CosmicKeyframe, Tooncritc and a few others. Got our badges and then I run into some of my old friends who I hadn't heard from in a long time. One of them being my ripple effect. (The guy who introduced me to the friends I have now and therefore helped shape my life) So I head out with them and a few others where we run into the LostNarrator, Magpie, GutiusSerenade, and others all out having drinks and toasting Lost's and Mags recent engagement. That was a fun night.

Alright so then comes day 2.
I get up, dress up, then head out to the convention center. The second I walk through the door I'm bombarded with people who wanna take a picture either of me or with me. Taking pics is always fun and having others compliment me on my outfit always feels great. We sit through the opening ceremonies, have a few laughs at Vincent Tong trying to trick everyone into saying Flash Sentry is awesome. We didn't fall for it. After that we go up to the RIffing is Magic panel. It's where the bronies react peeps all sit down and comment blindly to a horrible movie. In this case it was called "My Best Friend." Really cringey movie. On netflix. After that we walk about and I went to the starbucks inside the con center They had the unicorn frap back just for this convention so I bought it to try it out. I thought it was disgusting so I threw it out.
Afterwards I went to a few more panels and made my way up to the autograph room to complete my task. I had commisioned a new pic of Princess Deadpool with all 4 of the CMCs on it as well and wished for all of them to sign. I ended up getting autographs and photos with all 4 of them. So that was awesome. Then I went to the bronies react panel that night. Finally got pics with a lot of those guys but I still missed some. Someday. After that there wasn't really a lot to do. So I just got some dinner and went back to the hotel. That was day 2.

I'm a bit late here but I attended my first Comic-Con in one of the rural areas not far from where I live. The Merced CA Comic-Con was pretty fun; I got broke on cash quick but still managed to take a lot of photos with the cosplayers, an autograph and a cool Bojack Horseman art print. This was back in September and I was on my hiatus from the forum at the time, IIRC.
There's another one in December but the holidays are gonna be so busy for me, but next year we'll definitely try and go again.

Glad you had fun, but it is expected that pony cons will quickly disappear. Weeding out "the rest" and it will leave just a few elite ones.
I am predicting though that Everfree Northwest will be one of the remaining few. It is currently the longest running (https://twitter.com/EverfreeNW) 3-day pony convention in the world.

I saw a few other messages around with some good points. This convention is dying but the fandom is not. And while this light goes out on this con, others around are still booming. BABScon. Everfree, Ciderfest, Whinny City.
Yeah. Its the end of an era but this fandom, which is still such a huge part of my life, is still going strong. And that makes me smile.

Thats good to hear. Many of the conventions will exist, mainly in the west. The decline of eastern conventions will continue, but o will allow for smaller ones to gain some traction. A lot of the brony fandom out east will combine with things like comic-cons and PAX-EAST or whatever it's called.
You know what they say, the west just keeps growing. :)

I'm surprised it took this long.
Vancouver BC is now getting their own pony convention called Vanhoover. (https://www.equestriadaily.com/2018/08/vanhoover-pony-expo-announces-2019-date.html#more)
Long since the beginning of the pony fandom, Seattle's "Everfree Northwest" as been one of the largest pony conventions in the world drawing in mass numbers. We'll see how Vanhoover fairs since it is sneakily going a few months before Everfree. Note though that Seattle's is during a nice weather period and Vancouver's will be during the dead of winter.... January 2019. Possibly a bad mistake on their part.
We'll see how it goes. Both convention's home site's can be seen below.

Ohhhhh it was sooooooooo much fun. I had a blast being Princess Deadpool again. A few items I will disclose but a few I will not just yet because I wanna wait until video footage gets uploaded to youtube. Hopefully someone got it. Anyway, I bought a few things from the vendor hall. Namely an RD blanket, a Starebucks shirt from Silver Quill and an Autumn Blaze scarf. I did get a few more things as well but I bought those from the charity auction. I took pictures with all six of the student six as the princess with all of them holding my gun. The big Gala Saturday night was blast. I got to see Eiliemonty perform for the first time as well as BlackGryph0n. Always fun seeing him.
