The southeast corner of Missouri looks like there aren't any cross roads from west to east.  You will have to drive north or south to go west or east. ;D

As usual, the 1.54 update for ETS comes out at the odd time ;D.
I was very lucky to finish my 1.5-hour delivery just in time.

They actually have a road from Joplin to Poplar Bluff (with five connections to Arkansas), it’s just below the screen ;D.

I'm looking forward to this.  I guess a more dense road network is a good way to solve smaller states to some degree.  Where it will get difficult is when a state is like Vermont or Rhode Island.  They will essentially be one road. ;D

No hidden Chicago's in the background.  Illinois will be the first state in awhile where we will get multiple city skylines in one state. :D

One of «reworked» cargoes from the new patch is getting too much of my attention because it looks pretty unnatural ;D.
Before 1.54, the Logs for the logging trailer looked as a set of differently-sized tree stems:

But today, they are the retextured Utility Poles from ATS:

(a disapproving look at SCS modellers)

And yes, the last pre-release post, with an announcement of the next Cruising event.

The loose looking logs in the first picture look better.

Time to do some Cruising!!!

For starters, I’m going from Omaha to Cape Girardeau.

I didn’t watch the pre-release stream, so I don’t know if there were some announcements of any new stuff, but maybe AP101 will find something ;D.

There's actually a lot of bigger towns and two big cities in this state! That's pretty awesome.  I really like how they laid out the map of this one in particular.

Due to the cities being close to each other, this achievement is very quick to earn ;D.

I like how green this state is, and how many small rivers you cross — Nevada can’t even dream about this amount of water. For some reason, the ambience sounds around the roads in the northern part of the state make the impression this area is very windy.

The billboards for some companies come in series by three. Not a very impressive lighting for the arch from the poster image, also, the bridge in Cape Girardeau looks not fully illuminated (well, you can see its second part if look closely) — I believe they have an excuse in saving the hardware resources by not showing the illumination after some specific distance. Something similar is with reflective stickers on traffic trailers — they are highlighted only by your truck’s headlights and don’t react on the lightpoles.

No matter how interesting can be to watch the people around their houses, the primary location I was interested to see is the one where the daytime/weather slider in Photo Mode doesn’t have an effect, for obvious reason ;D. There you have the longest run from the depot mark to the spot you get your cargo. The color-coded zones and the simple stone texture give me some Half-Life flashbacks... Just imagine the rocks are more brown in colour, and this will be an area where you may want to run with the distinctive footsteps, echo and crowbar swing sounds.

Downloading now!! :D ^ The review and photos above has me excited.  Granted you didn't seem too impressed with the textures and lighting.

Oh, another aircraft as a real life landmark — the Thunderchief near Chilicothe Municipal Airport (first two words are missing at this wall in the game).

The number is the same as on the RL monument, but I think the model itself is less detailed than the Starfighter from the Greece DLC ;p.

So, we had F-104 in the game, then F-105... I wonder, is there any F-106 static display somewhere in the next map DLC? ;D

Thank you for your detailed input.  My first delivery into Missouri just happened to be the underground depot.  That is a weird place.  It's erie and gives me weird vibes.  It's weird SCS made that the most dense road-network in any of their games and it's very large.  It's weird and I don't understand the purpose of having an underground depot.
