... How did you manage to break both computers?

I accidentally tore up the charging port on one of them. The other one got an exposed headphone wire stuck inside of it.

So wait. It's not broken then?... It just had a headphone wire stuck in it? Can't you still use the second one? Did you break them on the same day.

The wire made the computer short circuit or something.

That takes a special kind of talent, man. Breaking two computers in one day.

FOR CLOAF

The closest Geek Squad to you is in Spokane, 114 miles away.... or the Tri-Cities, 113 miles away.  You truly do live in like... the most out of the way, most random town, anyone could ever live in.

But there is probably.... NOT... a local computer shop.....  But there is computer shops in the other mid-sized towns around you, Try going to Walla Walla or certainly Pullman has something for all the college students.  Also Lewiston and Clarkson would have computer shops, but no Best Buy's...yet.    All the towns I just mentioned all have colleges, so they would definitely have computer shops to repair student's and their stupid behaviors.

I did more searching, and your town has a place to possibly get a computer fixed.  It is called, "USA COMPUTER TECH COMPUTER RESCUE."  Real good name.  It is on the east end of town somewhere past a NAPA Auto Parts.  I can't find the business building... but they have a number, might be worth asking where they even are... could be some dude in his garage for all I know.

(509) 730-5576  <---- Their number.

Hope that helps, Claof.

Claof, that is unfortunate.  You don't live in a place with many services, per say.  But if you and your family do all your shopping in nearby Clarkston, like a Walmart or Costco or something, then there are several computer shops there.  I know that.  Also Walla Walla, in the opposite direction has a handful of computer shops and repair clinics.  I can think of one in College Place (little town right next to Walla Walla).  They run for the college students and the farmers who are running their operations in the 21st century, I jest not.  There are some real techy farmers out there.  Wineries are pretty technology driven.

If you have to have a the Geek Squad guys... they will probably charge a pretty penny coming from one of the Best Buy store's in either Spokane, Kennewick, or Pasco.  No matter what, it is over a 100 mile drive for them, one way.  Luckily those black and white Volkswagen Beetles get decent enough gas mileage.

Before trusting a small town repair man, check their reviews, if they have any, online first.  Maybe ask some people at school where they get stuff repaired, because certainly someone has had to need something repaired before in that town.  Otherwise, go to one of the larger cities and get it done the next time your family goes on a shopping trip to load up.

Don't know why you'd say where you live on the Internet. That's pretty dangerous. And I know some sites forbid you from saying your town or anything more specific that state for your safety and all. They can't guarantee some creepo won't see that info.
